Yes, I geared it to my future schedule and financial needs. I think that is called Platter....no......placing....no.....pilfering....no......PLANNING.

A bit late to the party...

Touring has never just been about the shows. It's the camaraderie- I would never consider going on tour if it just meant going from show to show without all the other things that come with touring. The new and old friends. Visiting places that I wouldn't otherwise go to. The new and old friends. The different foods. The new and old friends. The sidetrips. THE NEW AND OLD FRIENDS.

I disagree about D2D's point about equal opportunity. In no way am I equal to others when it comes to access. By putting so much of myself into the full touring experience, I'm happy to say that I'm part of this group where everyone looks after everyone else, from accommodation to transport to beer to ticket-sharing to notifying each other about announcements to carrying posters to getting merch to having a full team of people stand up for me if some idiot tries to pick a fight with me during a show. It's not equal, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

5 European shows and the fun around the shows was never going to be enough. There's no such thing as enough fond memories. Knowing friends will be at Seattle and Philly, I just had to go on 2 separate flights across the pond. Tickets to shows would just be a bonus.

Hardly taking tickets away from locals, either. Didn't have to buy a single 10c pair for the 6 shows- the aforementioned friends covered me there.
