The rejection has been reversed, and all the lab #s have come down to an acceptable value.
I am still taking steroids along with a plethora of other medications, ( anti rejection , immuno-suppresants, ect ) but everything seems to be doing what they are supposed to , so no complaining there. Also , no matter how many pills I need to take, its still better than having to go to dialysis 3 x / week .
Hopefullly, I will be able to return to work soon. The problem with that is, I work in a hospital , with sick and possibly infectious people, so we have to be extra cautious for the sake of my new , 3rd kidney.

    Thanks everybody !

    Congrats, Bathgate. Great to hear.
And just to update AB and the few others that knew, I returned home last night from CPH NYU with a transplanted liver. I feel great and it's great to be back.
I knew that all here would be pulling for me and hoping for success. The icing on the cake came when for the last 3 days, my nurses name was Jamily.
So remember, become an organ donor.

HollisBrown : This is fantastic news !
CPH have got some really brilliant doctors ,
and the rest of the respective transplant teams are great also.
Did you have a living donor ?
& Are you on a full anti -rejection regimen ?
    All the best man.
    Stay positive
    and feel good !

Creatnine levels have seemed to have stabilized at 1.6 ( my personal baseline ) .
Prograf levels have been lowered from 24MG to only 21 MG daily,
    but now they want 7 MG / every 8 hours, ( 3 x day )
    as opposed to 12 MG every 12 hours. ( 2 x day ) .
Apparently the time in between doses affects the blood levels of Tacrolimus.
thus requiring the tweeking of the doses .

    wow...

at least they decrease the prograf/tacrolimus dose after 3 months. though doses can fluctuate anytime

target tacrolimus blood levels (aka FK-506) are 10-14 for the first 3 months, after that it's 5-10. mine is usually around 6 or 7....with taking 7.5 mg every 12 hours

    Hi everybody.
    Quick update-
Creatine number has again come up above desired levels.
I am now at a level of 1.8 ( they want me at my baseline---1.5-1.6 )
They've increased my Prograf levels to
    10MG Three times daily ( every 8 hours ) .
I need to go to Columbia this Friday at 8am,
    for Biopsy # 2 .
I assume they are looking for another rejection, not really sure what the next step is .
    I'll keep you all posted.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Got my phonecall from Columbia around 530 PM Eastern ,...
Something told me this would be good news,
Generally, they tend to call early on in the day if theres something to be concerned about .
    Biopsy # 2 revealed NO REJECTION .
The creatinine level has come back down to 1.7
( doctor seemed to be okay with this -- just over baseline of 1.6 )
Prograf ( aka Tacrolimus ) Level is at 10.7 ,
which the doctor assured me is considered a " therapeutic" level,
and gradually will come down as time goes on .
I must continue with weekly blood levels ,
hopefully the levels will balance out sooner rather than later,
and I can start to think about returning to work.
Yes I am poor,... and am experiencing acute cabin fever .
