Let's hope he doesn't move in next to Mr. & Mrs. Utley. :|

I think Andy Reid did Tony Dungy a favor. Dungy has been talking to NFL coaches/organizations, pleading for someone to give Vick another shot. that said, the Philadelphia Eagles just became a better football team. McNabb, Vick, and Westbrook in the same backfield, defences won't know what to do.

Picture this.....me and my buddy already requested that Vick take the Utleys' dog out for dinner to The Melting Pot. And the dog sits at one end of the table in a chair, and Vick at the other end. Vick will feed him fondu.

In regards to the Philadelphia Eagles signing Michael Vick, PETA's official statement is as follows:

PETA and millions of decent football fans around the world are disappointed that the Philadelphia Eagles have chosen to sign a man who hanged dogs from trees, electrocuted them with jumper cables, held them underwater until they drowned in his swimming pool, and even threw his own family dogs into the fighting pit to be torn to shreds while he laughed. What sort of message does this send to young fans who care about animals and don't want to see them be harmed? PETA certainly hopes that Vick has learned his lesson and feels truly remorseful for his crimes--but since he's given no public indication that that's the case, only time will tell. At this point, all Eagles fans can do is cross their fingers and hope that they won't ever have to explain to their sons and daughters what a "rape rack" is and why their favorite player was using one, as Falcons fans once had to.

Yeah, I read this but what they also don't say is how he's been working with PETA to go to schools and be a spokesperson for them. As well as with the Human Society.

The Eagles brass apparently decided that one athletic, inaccurate qb wasn't enough for the roster so they go and sign another.

By athletic I guess you mean black? Cause really how athletic is McNabb anyway?

As a Cowboys fan, this is exciting news. At least we didn't sign him and put more pressure on Romo cuz Lord knows he doesn't need anymore to choke ;) And I don't mean choking innocent pit bulls either :o

Yeah, this is going to go over well.

Haha, are you serious? That is great, I hope they show that on the news.

Being totally serious. My one buddy who's a season ticket holder who owns a pit bull has already called the Eagles multiple times and is demanding his money back.

I'm thinking that those people who actually ask for refunds and protest is going to be a small number... This outrage will die down quickly. Halfway into the season, Eagles fans will be cheering him while calling for him to replace McNabb.

Amazing how a COURT ORDERED SENTANCE can make you see the light.

I believe he deserves a second chance, but, I'm glad as FUCK that he didn't sign with the Patriots.

As for the Philly fans accepting him with open arms, I'm guessing many of them are hypocrties that would have been throwing milk bones at him had he signed with the Giants or Cowboys. GUAR-AN-TEED.

  • The Eagles are going to be the new Dolphins with that Wildcat shit.....McNabb hand off to Westbrook, handoff to Vick...passes 90 yards to Jackson! Or even better they can run 6 reverses before the defense has half a clue what is going on!
  • My biggest surprise in this (because I knew some team would end up checking their morals at the door) was that Philadelphia still has a team in the NFL. ;)

i am just stunned by this. he did serve his time and if a team wants him i have no problem with him being back in the NFL. I can't just believe Eagles did this. They are taking a huge pr hit and a huge risk for a guy they might put on the field for 5 plays a game. He will never be a starter here - I just don't get it. and the reality is he is just a bad dude. at some point he is bound to do something again, probably no where near the level of before, but any slight f-up will be followed and reported in this town. the media in this town is brutal and already has a distate for the Eagles. it's absolutely stunning to me the Eagles would do this.

I'm surprised that a contender picked Vick up. But this is a big F.U. to McNabb. First T.O., now one of the most infamous players who happens to play his position . . . maybe the brass can just set his nutsack on fire next.

How is this a big FU to McNabb? McNabb said he wanted him here. Basically it comes down to this..If Vick IS the Vick of 3 years ago and only has to play QB a few times a game (cause lord knows he cant play) This is a potentially LETHAL offense. Jesus..who does your defense stop? Westbrook? Jackson? McCoy? Maclin? Vick? McNabb? from a football standpoint thats just NASTY

For the record I hated Vick before the dog figthing...I hated Vick during the dog fighting...I'll hate him again after hes done playing for the Eagles..

Someone was going to sign him eventually, but I was surprised it was the Eagles.

It always comes down to winning and money. Vick will be in on special plays and as a receiver/runningback/QB "slash" position. They think he can help them win, and that is what the owner and GM wants.

If anything its a big FU to Kolb and Feeley.. .I mean Kolb was seen as at least having a chance to be the QB of this team in a year or two, now he's standing behind/to the side of a guy 2 years removed from the football field...

Vick paid his dues. Fessed up and did his time. Time will tell if he learned anything.

The eagles signed him because he fits their offense and McNabb will inevitably get hurt, probably right around week 6.

But man, I just secured my tickets for the 12/13 game at giants stadium.
I cant wait to hear the boos.
