Yeah, this is going to go over well.

Haha, are you serious? That is great, I hope they show that on the news.

Being totally serious. My one buddy who's a season ticket holder who owns a pit bull has already called the Eagles multiple times and is demanding his money back.

Your buddy is a douchebag. This signing makes the Eagles a better team, and that is all ownership cares about. It should also be what the fans care about, but all of a sudden they want to grow a conscience.

I'm neither a fan or hater of the Eagles, but as a Dolphins fan I would have loved to see Vick run the Wildcat even if they did draft Pat White.

I take it you hate dogs.

My buddy owns a pit bull. Vick forced pit bulls to rape each other, starved them to make them angrier, pulled their teeth out and enjoyed watching them kill and and severely injure one another.

Gee, I wonder why he strongly feels against this signing.

Sports is supposed to be entertainment. I don't know how you could block out the image of Vick cheering on pit bulls fighting for his amusement if you actually own one.

Actually I love dogs more than most humans. My parents have run a dog kennel my whole life so I've been around more dogs throughout my life than 95% of most people.

I don't like Vick as a person, but he did his time and everything that has been asked of him by the system that is in place (I think he should have been put away much longer, but they never asked me). Do I like the image of what he was conducting? Absolutely not. But I believe that a person should be able to make a living at what they are good at if they have served their time, that's all.

Let's hope he doesn't move in next to Mr. & Mrs. Utley. :|

I think Andy Reid did Tony Dungy a favor. Dungy has been talking to NFL coaches/organizations, pleading for someone to give Vick another shot. that said, the Philadelphia Eagles just became a better football team. McNabb, Vick, and Westbrook in the same backfield, defences won't know what to do.

In regards to the Philadelphia Eagles signing Michael Vick, PETA's official statement is as follows:

PETA and millions of decent football fans around the world are disappointed that the Philadelphia Eagles have chosen to sign a man who hanged dogs from trees, electrocuted them with jumper cables, held them underwater until they drowned in his swimming pool, and even threw his own family dogs into the fighting pit to be torn to shreds while he laughed. What sort of message does this send to young fans who care about animals and don't want to see them be harmed? PETA certainly hopes that Vick has learned his lesson and feels truly remorseful for his crimes--but since he's given no public indication that that's the case, only time will tell. At this point, all Eagles fans can do is cross their fingers and hope that they won't ever have to explain to their sons and daughters what a "rape rack" is and why their favorite player was using one, as Falcons fans once had to.
