I don't think he's any worse or any better than all those idiots. I just think people are reacting to this situation (myself included) because it is high profile. There are so many incidents that never make it to the news, but the ones that do are the ones we react to (not just for animal abuse, but domestic violence, sexual assaults,DUIs etc), and if the incident involves a public figure people react even more. For better or worse he is an example - he's a representation of all those other perpetrators that we never hear about. He's got no one to blame for being in that situation but himself.

I think that some people can just separate the crime from the football and others can't. I just can't. Not saying it's good or bad. I can't cheer for him or the team he plays for or be part of putting money in his pocket that he's so horribly misused before. It's a career that puts people in the position of being a role model and earning a lot of money and I just have an issue with him being able to return to a career of privilege. I know others disagree and I respect that.

man, i wish EVERYONE knew how to argue like you!! THIS is how a discussion should be :-)

I understand your points--They are well said without being condescending or disrespectful...you're making valid points and can back them up. I agree with pretty much all of them...although I'll continue to support my team, but I do understand why you won't.
Well see - at least we agree that there's a way to disagree about a topic respectfully :) (This is why women should rule the world) ;):lol: I understand why you will still be supporting them too. Hopefully one day I will be again!

LOL!!! we should, indeed, rule the world. Seriously though, I don't mind being wrong or changing my mind about something if someone presents a good, sound argument. If you just TELL me I'm wrong, I'll never listen :)
Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)

I like what the groups in Philly are doing. They are using the publicity, but saying they arent protesting Vick... they are trying to just raise money and awareness for dogs who have been rescued from similar operations... waaaaay more effective than protesting in the parking lot at a football game. kudos to them.

I think Vick should have been allowed in the NFL. But I still cant understand why people would give him a standing ovation. He aint done shit yet. Id like to see him put a little of those millions where his mouth is and show how regretful he truly is....

agreed. perhaps a standing O was too much. like i said before though, i think the rest of the country was just waiting for the things to get ugly to validate the whole "philly fans are the worst" thing. it's interesting that the exact opposite happened and people are still upset.
