just a few examples of NY teams deep playoff runs in the last decade. i'm sure i'm missing some confrence finals on the devils and even the Nets had some good teams back at the begining of the decade (two losses to the Lakers in the finals)

You have that small window to win in the nfl. That's my point I'm making to the champ. You can have a great foundation but still take 1-5 years to get back to the championship and super bowl.
