    I'm sorry if this has been covered, but there are 27 pages here and not much time. I have downloaded FLAC before and can NEVER get them to play even though I thought I had a program to do so. It has been a while now as I quit messing with it - no time again. So do I have to buy a special program for the FLAC files? If so, which one is recommended? I would like to do this as I understand the quality is much better, and I like quality.

    Any help for someone that is a little slow in this regards would be appreciated.

    Go grab Winamp that, if I'm not mistaken, comes with a plugin to play FLAC files with no extra work to be done.

    Don't pay for any program to play them.. it's not needed :)

    Yes, Winamp does have the Flac plug in now and is free

    Thank you guys very much. I have used winamp in the past and liked it. I may still have it on my old computer. But I will be dowloading the latest version at lunch. Thanks very much for the advice. And I will buy the FLAC Chicago boots to test it.

    since Kufala is handling the cd's again, they're going to be CD-R's again, correct? if that's the case, I'm going the FLAC route and burning my own.

    done and done - the Toronto show sounds about as amazing as I remembered it (wish they could have broken with tradition and given us the preset, but I didn't expect them to). Thanks 10c. Maybe in future we have a digital dload with CD purchase. I couldn't afford both and was too excited to wait for the CDs.

    For those waiting for Europe shows I have just downloaded the 3 tracks from Townsend Records: Hail Hail, The Fixer & Insignificance from O2. Sound quality superb
    Now it all comes down to numbers, now I'm glad that I have quit
    Folks these days just don't do nothing simple for the love of it

    I downloaded the FLAC files last time.. just curious what you mean about CD-R's again? Did they send out low quality CD's? I am sort or thinking I might want to order the CDs just for the packaging.. I am assuming its the cardboard sleeves like in the past.

    Absolutely not. The CD-R's they use are of the highest quality and are arguably better than store-bought ones. People hear the word "CD-R" and they automatically asssume that it's some sort of scam.

    There is no box set available yet. It's just speculation from many people. Based on prior bootleg releases, however, it is expected that box sets will be released of the US and European shows.

    Boots sound amazing! I've only heard Chicago 1 and Toronto so far but they are phenomenal. Toronto makes me smile... brings back so many memories. That was Mike's night for sure and the crowd... WOW!!!

    Pretty sweet deal, ordered my Chicago boots on Thursday and they were delivered here (halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee) today. Now that's some sweet turnaround.
