When it happens (note the positivity) I hope it's not Aloha. We missed almost all of PJ's set opening for U2 in '06 cause traffic sucked. We were staying 15 mins away yet it took nearly 3 hours to get to the venue. I heard most of PJ through the sun roof until in a psychotic frenzy I took the rental car over a median and parked on a sidewalk.
But I'll take anything in Hawaii, just announce a show (or two) soon please!!

i am leaving NYC metro to go to chill hawaii...not to experience NYC area traffic in hawaii!

Bump-a-lo-ha
Honolulu rush hour traffic sucks, but most other times it was okay. When visiting there I was told that traffic to Aloha Stadium when there's an event is horrible and that info was correct on 12/9/06, but I mostly blame the organization in charge of the venue. There were no event people out directing traffic and not enough parking, it was a madhouse. I've gone to the stadium for the weekend swap meets and we had no problems and the PJ show on 12/2/06 at Blaisdell was well organized with people out directing traffic, piece of cake. We've been locked in around Waikiki when events have roads closed as well. Outside of rush hour and events traffic was not a problem most days for us.
good to know, i just never would've imagined it. :P
guess i'll make a mental note and 'worry' about it later, if/when a hawaiian date gets announced....and if it works with our planned vacation time in december.

I have faith for all of you that the Hawaii dates will get announced right after labor Day
I was wondering the same thing. I went to the last Hawaii show in 06 so I checked out my order history and the tickets were purchased October 17th. There could be a wait still.
Don't know how much longer I can hold off the in laws for our yearly December trip together. Now they're leaning towards the Caribbean. If I book a Caribbean cruise with them and the band announces a show I'm going to only be Happy when I'm cryin'!
How about this to give folks like us a slim hope of making to Hawaii for little or no cost?

How about purchasing raffle tickets through 10c and from a random drawing, the selected winners get to go to Hawaii with accommodations paid including tickets (based on seniority of course), posters, hotel, round trip flight and some donated food from local folks?
