The "Gilligan" guy looks like Robyn Williams.... he was a Robot in Bicentennial Man, and there is another robot there too... who is the woman in the Robot's "face"?
Also looks like he has lipstick on... Mrs Doubtfire.. hah
I don't think it's Gilligan.. the hair is wrong.

The burning train kid might be River Phoenix in "Stand by Me"

Its a longshot but what if PJ changed the gender of the so called pimp. I know its a stretch but I found the tricycle interesting.
Suicide does seem to be the theme.
DC Madam Commits Suicide in Florida

Deborah Jeane Palfrey, convicted last month of running a high-end prostitution service in Washington, hanged herself in a shed outside her mother's mobile home in Florida today, officials said.
Authorities were called today to the Sun Valley Estates Mobile Home Park in Tarpon Springs, Fla., by 76-year-old Blanche Palfrey, who found her daughter's body hanging by a nylon rope shortly before 11 a.m., Tarpon Springs police Capt. Jeffrey P. Young said at a news conference. He said Deborah Palfrey left at least two suicide notes, but he declined to discuss their contents.
Blanche Palfrey awoke from a nap and began to search for her daughter, according to the police account. She went outside and noticed that a tricycle normally kept in the shed beside
the mobile home had been moved. She went inside and discovered her daughter hanging by a
nylon rope from a metal beam on the ceiling of the shed.
Palfrey, 52, was free while awaiting sentencing June 25 on federal racketeering charges. A federal jury convicted her April 15 of running a Washington area call-girl ring in the guise of "a high-end erotic fantasy service," rejecting her argument that she was unaware for 13 years that female escorts she employed were performing sex acts with clients for money.
Tarpon Springs police said there were no signs of foul play and they are working with the sheriff's and medical examiner's offices to determine the cause of death.
"This is tragic news, and my heart goes out to her mother," said lawyer Preston Burton, who represented Palfrey during the trial.
Dubbed the "D.C. Madam" after her indictment created a swirl of publicity a year ago, Palfrey had said she hired socially polished, college-educated women to indulge her customers' fantasies through "quasi-sexual" game-playing only.
The jury in U.S. District Court sided with prosecutors, who said Palfrey knew her clients were paying $250 an hour for full-fledged sexual encounters. The panel made its decision after hearing from various call girls and clients in a week-long trial. Palfrey did not testify.
Palfrey's mother often accompanied her to court last month. An employee at the mobile home park said that Palfrey had been visiting there recently.
Writers Dan Moldea, who interviewed Palfrey several times for a possible book about her experiences, said today that Palfrey told him three times that she would kill herself rather than return to prison. She had served an 18-month term in California in the early 1990s for running a prostitution service and told Moldea that it was "just a horrible, horrible period for her," the writer said.
"The first time she did time, it damn near killed her, she told me," Moldea said. "She wound up in a fairly tough prison, and the stress caused some sort of an illness, and it was a very debilitating illness that affected her eyesight."
Moldea said that, in three interviews last spring and summer, after she was indicted, Palfrey told him: "I'm not going back to jail. I'll kill myself first. I'll commit suicide before I go back to jail."
"Those were her exact words," he said.
The U.S. attorney's office had said that under sentencing guidelines, Palfrey probably faced a prison term of four to six years.
Palfrey ran her business, Pamela Martin & Associates, by telephone from her California home, and authorities said she grossed about $2 million from 1993 to 2006, splitting the money about evenly with her escorts. They said she employed at least 132 women over the years, dispatching them nightly to clients in homes and hotel rooms in the Washington area.
The recent conviction was not Palfrey's first dust-up with the law. She was convicted of running a prostitution ring in California 17 years ago and spent 18 months in jail.
Considering Palfrey's history, Assistant U.S. Attorney Catherine Connelly had asked Judge James Robertson last month to order her locked up until sentencing. But the judge declined, saying Palfrey is an "intelligent woman" who knows she would be punished if she tried to "flee the country."

    To the OP:

First off, awesome thread and great discovery regarding the fallen woman image.

Would you mind editing your first post to include all the connections others have made so we don't have to wade through all these pages. It would really help a lot.

    Thanks!

    interesting take/theory...

Like maybe they are going in order? Because the 6th panel is space, and Binaural is their 6th lp. The others you could probably stretch and make a case for:

Panel 1: The kid looks about Ten years old.
Panel 2: Skin outside Vs. organs inside
Panel 3: The magician has a Vitalogy feel/look (and the poster it's based on could be same era as original book? ). Devils = Satan's Bed, Skull = Immortality, etc.
Panel 4: WTF? = No Code
Panel 5: Brain Yields knowledge. Also it's in middle = crossroads
Panel 6: Astronaut space ties to Nebula artwork on cover of Binaural
Panel 7: Bomb/chaos + Actor Bob Denver & Actress Kristy McNichol = Riot "Acts" get it?
Panel 8: Pimp your fruit (of looms)/sex/ forbidden fruit / Avocado..... wow, that's bad!
Panel 9: Suicide regret? = Backspacer it.

After 250 posts in this thread- I'm not sure that this has been asked:

I noticed that the picture for the Fixer has the half skeleton man and the anvil in the background is on the left.

On the picture on the album cover - the anvil is on the right.

    What's the deal?

    You're right - and I didn't notice (I still think it's Robin Williams face)

Here's a pretty good pic that the Kristy McNichol image on the robot's TV head may have come from...though many of here look similar:

Hey. Did anyone notice while watching the promo video that at 4:12 (and again later) it looks like the kid in the TV picture . And in the scene with Ed in the bathroom the Johnny guitar album cover is on the wall. There might be more, but I only watched it once so far.

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this

whoever the fuck this is (I'd like to say it's Stone!) from the Backspacer promo vid, it appears to be the image from the television in panel 7. notice the single strand of hair hanging down in the middle of face.

Previously thought it ws Kristy McNichol, and still might be..

Interesting.... but I think it is definitely Stone!

What's funnier is that when Tom Tomorrow posted the group picture and some people made fun of poor Stoney...

And then this showed up in the video?

Must have been weird stars crossing their paths up there or being positioned differently because somehow somewhere Stoney planned his old school for the video and people making fun of him on his poses like elementary classroom picture!

I swear lately the stars have been positioned really strange the last few months... for one, I was taken aback at being called a lunatic here on the board, then seeing that on the setlist in Nashville....

...two weeks later we are on a family vacation in Tennessee again, two hours away from Nashville, and we had our 10 years old niece, Abby, visiting with us from Florida. We haven't seen her since she was 4, but anyway....she had a crush on our oldest son and wanted to come up with words for each letter of his first name in chalk on the road

She begged for our help but Uncle Bobby told her to be creative so she left and when she came back, she said something and Bobby's jaws fell apart and just stared at her for a few before saying, "That's funny you should say that, Abby..." and turned to me, "She just asked me how to spell the word 'Lunatic'".

Anyway,I love it that he wore his pink shirt in the video... you go, Stone!

i really don't think it's Ed. in that "5 Against One" bio book it has a pic of Ed around the same age/hair length...and it doesn't look like this. I mean let's face it, Ed is/was much better-looking kid! anyway, it would make sense that it's Stone because the Gilligan guy looks like Stone, too. so it may just be Tom's humor at a lil Stoney dream sequence thing going on. subtlety making it look a bit Kristy-like.

I don't think it's either Stone or Eddie, but it's definately apart of the album cover...how? or why?...I don't know.

Who's amp was this picture on? Was it just a shirne?

I remember the NME article saying the band had a shrine to Andrew Wood in their warehouse/clubhouse...Perhaps this is a picture of a young Andrew Wood

    -Just throwing that out there-

Either way...It still doesn't explain or confirm anything about Gilligan, The Robot, The Atomic Bomb, or the Three Flying Saucers.
