    This might just be the best Pearl Jam song in a decade. I don't want to jump the gun, but damn, this song is near perfection. I can't wait to hear the album version!

    this is a great tune. I hope they don't overdo the instrumentation on the album. Then again, this may end up being one of the songs that include french horns and/or strings which may work.

    And I gotta say this whole album puzzle thing was cool. I didn't even know about it until I just randomly went on Rollingstone.com. And I totally wasn't expecting a new song today.

    you need to click "save link as" or "save file as" or whatever you get when you right click

    not a mac guy but i think you have to hold down the apple button and click and you should get options similar to right clicking on windows

    You can either do CONTROL + CLICK or tap two figures on the multi-touch trackpad (if you have a Macbook).

    I like the "Speed of Sound" demo we received today. But I have a fear that this could turn into "Gone". When "Gone" was released on the 2005 X-mas single, before "Avacodo", I really liked the stripped down-just Eddie on guitar version. The "Gone" version on "Avacodo" just misses for me. It's almost like by giving each of the members a role, they cluttered up a perfectly good, simple song. Sometimes you may not need to use all 5 members! I think the beauty in these two songs is their simplicity. How can you add drums to "Speed of Sound"? I don't think the demo needs a whole lot of adusting. Maybe some subtle bass.

    yeah I've thought about this too. I also suspect that maybe this is one of the songs that would have strings in it.

    I love this song. This is one of those songs I could easily see having it's rotation in my "top 5" Pearl Jam songs.

    It has an ITW feel to it. Hope that record inspires Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam!
