Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

Posted this thought in another thread, but in regards to whether the album will stay true to this demo, we have this info from the german rag:
"Speed Of Sound: Exotic. A strange pop song with a different sound than the rest of the album and its clear-cut production. Still: piano, tingling, suspense…"
I'm hoping they don't do what they did to Gone, where they basically followed Ed and just added a typical rockband sound over the gone demo. I want the version on the album to remain true to this demo, but also allow for some creativity from the other members. A good example: Can't Keep. Here was an Ed solo song that I liked, but liked a lot more on the album. The song is true to its impetus, but the band added to it and they didn't just play along.

Based on the Ed solo version of Can't Keep, I thought it was going to be a loud rocker like Save You or Zeppelin's Communication Breakdown. Was surprized when it came in the form that made the album.

Yeah, I think ed called it a thrash Uke song. I just really like what the band added to it and I'm seeing a few people a little worried about what the band is going to do to this one. Just want to remind people that the band has the ability to take a nice demo song by one member and turn it into something special. I think this song could be special.
just mentioned it in another thread but how much does it sound like CC's "seasons" at the very beginning??
im really loving this song! grows on me more everytime i hear it... the subtle e-bow parts... the vocals and lyrics are great... i think itll be a nice song live for the late-middle of the show to really relax

i would actually like a complete departure from this demo on the album... as much as i like the demo, my greed wants to get 2 "new" songs out of it (like the light years demo vs. the album version)
Go to the "Spoiler" thread and you will see the links to all the places where the pieces of artwork are. As you go 1 by 1, clicking on the picture, it gets added to your "gameboard" with the 9 squares. When you've been to the 9th one, there is a congrats and download link. Right-click to save the 6 meg .mp3 on your hard drive or left click to just play it.
