Who said Gershwin? Brilliant. Gotta add......American Girls. Sorry rest of the planet. Ours are the hottest. :D

I noticed in Paris that there were really no women that rivaled the gorgeous women I saw daily in Chicago. On the flipside, there were also no women to rival the hideously ugly ones you see at your average WalMart or Cedar Point. It was the first math discussion I've had in years, as a friend and I concluded that the 'mean' is higher in Paris, but America has a greater range ;)

That said, the women of Spain are without doubt the sexiest I've ever seen. But that might have had something to do with being in Morocco the two weeks before and seeing nothing but fully covered women everywhere... then cue Spain, gorgeous women, Western clothes... I was a wreck :) Still, if you can get the cream of the American crop, our women are pretty elite, hehe.

I agree. One of the things that makes it so great to live here is the fact that we CAN question everything that's put before us by the government. In their early writings, many of our founding fathers- such as Thomas Paine- indicated that it is our DUTY as patriots to question those things put before us.

absolutely agree. and this is what sets us apart from country's like China and Iran. we are far from perfect, but we certainly are allowed to speak our minds.

Not to mention that this is an American band (with a free forum to talk politics) who believes in standing up for what they believe in, being true to themselves, and spreading that type of awareness to their fans and urging them to do the same. I now proudly question everything, which I have found many people dislike. Too bad, as it is our duty as citizens of this country.

Don't kid yourself. This forum is anything but free. Ask Kat why I was banned for insults if that's the case? That's right. Insults. Just today? If you dont subscribe to the message of the powers that be on this board you aren't free....youre banned for life......... And be careful the admins have preferences. Clearly the message of love for country is not a popular one here it gets you banned. Perhaps if I started more damn America, and evil Israel threads like a few trolls do I could avoid the dreaded ban for life....Good thing im a cat. 9 lives baby.

Read the rules chief. Insults are against the rules. That's not a restraint on free speech. That's a restraint on being a douchebag. If you want to measure your dick against other guys on the internet, find another forum for practicing juvenile insults. If you find it impossible to have intelligent debate without slinging slurs, then you're not adding anything to the kind of political discourse the first amendment is designed to protect anyhow.

You have to be kidding. If those rules were enforced there would be no board. This is the single most insult ridden board I have ever seen....chief.

if it is so oppressive around here then why did you sign back up again after getting banned?

Apparently to "fight the good fight." Also interesting that he claims to be here for the music yet his only posts since arriving were in the Moving Train, which he now claims should be closed. I guess since he can't play nice none of us should be able to play. Classic "I'm taking my ball and going home" tantrum.

    1. Be nice. We're very big on RESPECT here. Respect for each other, the band and the Ten Club Community forum environment. Please think of it as if you are as a guest in someone else's home. Please do not put your posting privileges at risk.

    2. Discuss, disagree and debate politely. It's possible to disagree with people without being abusive, and it's a requirement here. This includes abusive Private Messages.

    a. We operate on the "I'm rubber, you're glue" philosophy so if you make a wonderful, thoughtful post with good points and call the other guy a moron while you're at it, it'll be removed. See #3.

    3. There are people bashing and insulting each other all over the internet. We feel it can be better here.

who gives a fuck if its an american band? why would that even matter... should the U2 board only allow Irish people to post? :?

a free forum to talk politics yet we arent allowed to say anything bad about america or we become america haters... that makes no sense.

p.s. i have 100 US flags for sale on Ebay... yours for $40.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Terrific rules that are selectively enforced based on your political bent. In other words if you're an extremist you can get away with calling someone say, a "douchebag" or make references to your genitals and you stay. That's not an insult......per the pattern. But if you take issue with someone who does tow the party line then your words will be deemed insults.I'm just saying. Rules are great, but without equal enforcement all you have is chaos. It's tired isn't it?

Show me where I didn't play nice? Seems to me you're the one throwing around the word douchebag and making references to people's genitals. And someone made you the courtesy police around here?

It's a fine line. I'm not saying you're a douchebag, I'm saying you're acting like one ;) You of all people, as a self-professed attorney, should understand the distinction.

No, no... he said BALL (singular), not BALLS (plural)! See, this was all just a misunderstanding. :)

I can see and understand the gist of this thread... to accent the positive traits of our Nation, instead of pointing out the negatives.
But, to pretend that those negatives do not exists, is a great insult to our Nation. We are granted certain rights so our Government cannot stifle our dissent. Public Officials are sworn to protect the principles of the constitution from all enemies, foriegn and domestic... which includes our own government.
Yes... I believe America is a great country... and yes, I believe we can do better. Not by force, but by example.
    ...
As for the God Bless America thing... I have a hard time believing that my God would choose one nation over another. I believe he blesses all people, regardless of where the lottery of birth has landed them.

is "god bless america" a request of god to bless the us or is it a command?

either way i think it is a little pretentious to ask or command a supreme being to do anything. many of the religious folks on here might make a reference to god's plan. if we ask him/her or command them to bestow blessings on us that we otherwise would not have, doesn't that mess up the plan? and isn't that very selfish of us as americans?

    i dunno, just my thoughts.

by the way, why are we sill singing god bless america at baseball games? i can understand shortly after 9/11, but come on, that was nearly 8 years ago.

And you are supposed to stand, like it's the Nation Anthem.
You don't have to... but, if you don't... you can expect a half eaten hot dog or cup of Pepsi to rain down on you.

I'm a season ticket holder for the Chicago White Sox. I've been going, on average, to a game a week for the past 5 seasons.

this is the biggest exaggeration I've heard in quite some time. no one gives a flying fuck what you do during god bless america song. but I suppose I can only speak of what Chicagoans do.
