If you love this country, right or wrong, chime in what you love about the place. There are so many others who come here just to bitch about what's wrong with it. So name something you love. Or a few things.

Im going with....

Freedom of Speech
Baseball
Jazz
Obama
The men who stormed Normandy Beach
The 4th of July
Hot dogs
New York City

Its the simple things that make me happy to live here, even more so after doing some travelling...

Like being able to post my opinions on here or anywhere else, the whole freedom of speach thing. Other things like clean water and food to eat, electricity, a judicial system and law inforcement, being able to vote, the ability to own a weapon if one should want to, ability to go to school and choosing a career, You know, the simple things...not saying that it doesn't exsist any where else, but 80% of the world doesn't have some or all of those things.

I HATE 'God bless America.' I hate the saying, the slogan, the stickers, the song, etc etc etc. It's so cheap and tacky.

That said, I love baseball, Cedar Point, Hollywood blockbusters, and NCAA college football.

Ditto this.^^^^ I don't say god bless anything, because I don't believe god exists, but...
its a good place overall and I feel lucky that the accident of my birth occurred in this part of the planet. New York City. Pearl Jam. NIN. Road trips. Benjamin Franklin. The Constitution. The ban on child labor. Martha Graham. Jerome Robbins. Gershwin. So much good art and music - we are so lucky. And it is luck. Most of us didn't earn this - we were just lucky enough to be born here. Feynman. There's more but this is what comes to mind.

 Just trying to make it positive. Knew you wouldnt resist a chance to take a swipe at my country might have something to do with it. This is an American band with a free forum to talk politics. Not a magnet to attract anti american haters. Take your act somewhere else. Its old.

    "God Bless America"

What a ridiculous phrase. As if God - if there were such a thing, which there isn't - would recognize borders and nation states and differentiate between them. Do you ever hear anyone saying "God Bless Equatorial Guinea", or "God Bless The Federated States of Micronesia"?
