I'm gonna go ahead and say that I hope whatever allotment of tickets 10C ends up with (if any) go to local fans, as they did with, I believe it was tickets for the Letterman aftershow gig for New Yorkers. If they can do it for them, no reason why it couldn't be done for us.

Yes I agree. If I'm assuming by local you mean anywhere within a 3 hour drive ;)
If not, PJ the Wolverhampton Civic is a great venue too

Nah, Wulfrun is better ;) (or Little Civic if you want it REALLY intimate)
...London Doesn't Call Anymore... (rip joe)

Yes, I have been to some Pearl Jam concerts. Several of them.

I can't see F' all at the Wulfrun though. The Little Civic, now there's a plan! Or upstairs at the Varsity, do they still do gigs there these days (showing my age  )

    give it a rest.....

PJ are playing a gig, if you want to go, pre order the record, if you cant make it tough...it really is that simple. I missed the astoria show because of the ticket stampede, was i pissed? sure, but not at the band, it wasnt their fault, they are hugely popular, all the fans want to see the club shows, so the demand is huge. Its life.

I'm hoping for that too (3 miles or 1 bus ride or 10mn cycling away here  only venue they could play any closer is Hammersmith Apollo.. or the Half Moon ;)).. but not even sure there'll be any 10c and even less they'll give geographical advantages (they sort of did for the Astoria but it was the whole UK speedialling Seattle for 1 hour for literally a handful of tix so not looking forward to a repeat of that).

but here's to hoping.. even if I have to resort to begging outside the venue all day, I'll be trying till the very last second and behind!

Good marketing ploy there, get people to preorder the CD to go for the presale, and not ending up getting tickets. They'll probably only have about 40 on presale and sale out in 5 seconds on general sales. I'm pessimistic on getting tickets for this as the capacity is 3000.
ok, I probably should shut up but you realise you can just order then cancel on the 12th August right?
Unlike 10c, they don't take your money until they're shipping anyway.

;) good point but I guess we all want the album anyway so buying it from here is as good as going to a shop for it on the day of release, especially as they virtually always have it on your doorstep the same day of release
