Mine arrived a few days ago, but unfortunately my record player is packed due to moving so I will have to wait a while before I break this latest vault open!

Whoo hoo! Jack White at Deer Lake Park on August 28th. Just got a GA ticket. Strange though.... I just got it through the pre-sale on TMR's website (via crowdsurge), but only by complete fluke. The only reason I checked was because I saw the show announcement in a ticketmaster email. It just so happened that the TMR Vault member presale started today at 11am, 40 minutes before I checked. That was pure luck on my part. As a Vault member, I would have thought that they'd send emails about show pre-sales and extra shows being announced. But I got absolutely nothing from them..... :-??
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
Setlist from the Charlotte show I went to last Thurs:
Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground (The White Stripes song) Lazaretto Temporary Ground You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told) (The White Stripes song) Hotel Yorba (The White Stripes song) Cannon (The White Stripes song) Top Yourself (The Raconteurs song) Just One Drink Hello Operator (The White Stripes song) Sugar Never Tasted So Good (The White Stripes song) The Rose With the Broken Neck Weep Themselves to Sleep The Same Boy You've Always Known (The White Stripes song) Three Women Hypocritical Kiss Sixteen Saltines Freedom at 21 Steady, As She Goes (The Raconteurs song) Encore: High Ball Stepper Missing Pieces Icky Thump (The White Stripes song) Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes song) Goodnight, Irene (Lead Belly cover)
And so you see, I have come to doubt All that I once held as true I stand alone without beliefs The only truth I know is you.
I'm just starting to get into Jack White and his various projects... Does he typically put on a good show? Would it be worth the ~$70 for the Deer Lake Park show?

save for maybe 2 tracks, this album is terrible. two solo albums.....two crappy solo albums. not even going to bother with anything JW solo now. Bring back DW!

The effort follows his solo debut,Blunderbuss, which also opened atop the list and sold 138,000 in its first frame. (It sold a handful of copies less, actually, but when rounded to the nearest thousand, both figures become 138,000.)
Lazaretto -- released on White's Third Man Records label through Columbia Records -- also sets the record for the largest sales week for a vinyl album since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
The vinyl LP sold 40,000 copies -- easily enough to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart. (The vinyl edition of the album has many unusual bonus features that clearly intrigued consumers.)
It beats the debut of Pearl Jam's Vitalogy, which sold 34,000 vinyl LPs in its first week, back in 1994. (Notably, Vitalogy was issued on vinyl first, two weeks before its release on CD and cassette.)

Couldn't disagree more, but that's what makes art...well art

His solo stuff is solid, but not great in my opinion. I wouldn't say crappy though.
Personally, I want more raconteurs. Consolers of the lonely was the last release of his that I was really blown away by.

That's bittersweet to me. Happy it's Jack and vinyl is increasing in popularity but sad my favorite record has been beaten.
