Pearl Jam to Headline Virgin Festival in Calgary

It has just been announced that Pearl Jam will headline the Virgin Festival in Calgary on Saturday, August 8th. This year’s Virgin Festival will be held at WinSport Canada’s Canada Olympic Park. Get all the ticketing info at http://www.virginfestival.ca/

On sale: Saturday, July 4th at 10 a.m. (local time)

    Awesome to see them in Alberta.... But that is one horrible festival lineup. Hopefully, I can get a day pass for the Saturday.

    note - it does say "and many more" ... but damn, pretty late in the game to be booking bands ... you'd hope the lineup is at least 90% set by now.

    Well, I'm from Northwestern Ontario--so that's fair. ;)

    However, I've since lived in Kingston and Toronto, then got lured out west by an evil woman. However, I'm now seeing Pearl Jam twice in two weeks! :mrgreen:

    Glad I'm seeing them in TO at a real show. Rather see them for 2-3 hrs than at a festival shortened show....but congrats to Calgary for sure!!!

    I have KOL on the 12th too….and about five other shows in August….craziness. I almost hope they don't go to van or seattle

    I have a friend that’s a huge Depeche Mode fan…she told me last week that they were rumoured as headliners for Virginfest….don’t know if the PJ announcement changes that, but….that would improve the lineup…..a bit.
    Wow, this is going to take some serious planning to pull off. PUMPED!

    (that virgin site BLOWS btw....does it actually say anything about ticket onsale dates? couldn't find anything in my brief glance...)
