about PJ using Target and recording adverts and releasing mini-flash games, Rock Band, etc, etc.....

do you read this forum from a hemp computer that you hand built... and are you using a "parrot on a unicycle"™ powered internet connection?

just wondering ;)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

my laptop is built from parts bought from Darfur farmers, and assembled by Zapatista manufacturing union members. It was delivered to my house by a dolphin, which hugged me and all of the trees in my garden before it swam away. No carbonfoot print for me, thanks very much.

and i have a windmill in my backgarden powering this very post.........feckin hippies. 8-)

Yeah, but it takes floopy discs and appears to not have USB or DVD drives. Perhaps you should upgrade your wood.

.i'm sick to death of trying to explain to people who are too fucking complacent to know why they should be pissed in the first place, why Target sucks..

Explain to me one thing... what is the difference between using Target as a corporation or Sony as a corporation. Don't go into the different markets (ie retail/music distribution/electronics, etc.). Just between one large corporation and another (actually between a large US corporation and a large GLOBAL corporation).

I'm not trying to flame or be weird or anything. I just don't understand why people are so pissed off with Target but had absolutely no problem with Sony from a CORPORATION point of view.

On a side note, you will probably find that it was posters saying they were very disappointed (and stronger words) with the band using a big corporation that brought these threads on.

seriously, do people not shop at these big corporations? Even Whole Foods- which is a big organic supermarket- that greenies and purists love for their healthier way of life- is a CORPORATION. This is the way life is now. Corporations exists, and people should get over themselves.

Pearl Jam can do what ever they want. They don't have to have the approval of every person in the world. I like their music, I go to their concerts, and I'm happy.

The more of you that leave, the closer I can get :D

Didn't you know? Most of these people grow their own vegetables in their backyards, weave their own clothes out of cotton (although they apologize to the plants for raping their bounty first) and wipe with pine cones.

not pine cones- they hurt. leaves are better, but only after they've fallen from the trees- don't want to hut those trees now. ;)

No. They definitely use pine cones. They figure the pain is part of their punishment for breathing so frequently and thus robbing the earth of its wonderful oxygen.

I'm still curious about how this will work for international customers... will the album be stocked in normal music stores outside of the US?

    Target don't offer international shipping.

Jenny... Somewhere it says it will be distributed by someone else but I can't remember who. We'll probably find it in the usual places.

In the Kelly Curtis interview it says "Curtis also confirmed that the band would tour to support this latest album, and that internationally, the album would be released via Universal Music Group."

I refuse to shop there also, unless I have to. Support local business!!

So all corporate executives are evil? How very George W. Bushian --- everything nice and tidy and black and white. How about Goodwill Industries? Are they evil?

come on... give me your own quote... dont follow... lead ;)

local business need evil multi coporations

i live in rural Scotland... its fucking dairy farms as far as the eye can see... the milk is collected, its then transoprted to a central company.. this company then sells the milk to Tesco, ASDA, etc (multi-billion pounds supermarket companies)... i then buy the milk from the big supermarket.

ergo... thats how i support local businesses... i keep cow farmers in a fucking viable business... they should be naming udders after my kids.
