With the way they have been playing, I'm worried the US may not even quailify :fp:

Now that US have the coach they wanted - Klinnmsan, the previous Germany coach, maybe they can do much better. But yes, the game last week against Canada was an eye-opener. Hopefully Klinnsman has it figured out to get the right lineup out there, make the best out of Donavan, Dempsy, etc.

well, that was ugly. Played in a monsoon, pouring rain in 80 degrees in Tampa. USA won 3-1, but a frustrating win. The US sometimes plays to the level of the other team, this time they looked bad for most of the game. The other day they looked great against Brazil.

On to Guatamala on Tuesday 6/12, which should be a real fight.

I agree that was an ugly win, but I will take it.

I know. How brutal is that?? I was reading about it and it has nothing to do with US soccer...the country hosting the game gets to decide TV coverage.

Yeah, it sucks. I was trying to find a free live feed of it somewhere out there, but haven't been able to yet.

and crap, I missed that Guatemala tied it up at 82 minutes, it's 1-1

and 1-1 is the final... probably a decent result given the circumstances

I was actually able to find a live stream of it for free. It was pretty shitty quality, but better than nothing!

US got hosed on a few calls. Altidore should have had a goal to go up 2-0, but the ref called the foul immediately. But getting a ponit in a tough road environment like that isn't bad at all.

hoping that tonight, USA can pull off a win against Guatemala to put them into the next round.

some strange results from Europe today and Canada lost to Honduras 8-1
