PULL THAT CYCLE OUT OF THE GARAGE...
Bruce & E Street Band to play Harley's 105th in August
Here's our first official confirmation that our Summer of Bruce won't be ending at Giants Stadium in July. Bruce and the band will be returning to Milwaukee in August, after their Bradley Center stop in March, for a much bigger show.

On August 28-31, Harley-Davidson celebrates its 105th anniversary at the Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee, and they've just announced that Springsteen and the E Streeters will play as part of the festivities on Saturday, August 30.

Also performing that weekend are ZZ Top, the Black Crowes, Buddy Guy, Foghat, and more. The Springsteen show will be an additional concert held outside the Summerfest Grounds at the Roadhouse at the Lakefront, requiring a separate $40 ticket in addition to the $60 105th Anniversary ticket (available now). According to The Business Journal, 60,000 general admission tickets will be sold for the Springsteen show. Only 105th Anniversary Ticket Holders can purchase Springsteen tickets, which go on sale April 5 at 8 a.m. Central.

Read the press release here; see Harley-Davidson.com for additional information.

interesting that for the stadium shows doesnt appear to be any rear stage tickets as was the case with the indoor arena setups.

some of the best shows i have seen came from those rear stage perspective seats, seeing the sea of people out there , just like Bruce & the band views.

My dad's a huge Springsteen fan. Anyway, I'd like to treat him and take him to the Cincinnati show, however rear stage seats are all that is left. Would it be worth $58 a ticket for rear stage? thanks.

everyone has different feelings on these rear view , rear stage perspective seats.

I have seen about 100 Bruce shows, and a few were from behind the stage- ( including a couple on this recent Magic Tour ) and I personally loved that view, looking out at the masses and seeing what Bruce and The Band sees.

Also- many of the E Streeters and Bruce himself often play to the back crowd, so its a good experience.

If your taking somo9ne who is a fan, it will be appreciated ( regardless of where you are seated )

    enjoy !

Anywhere in the arena is worth it dude. I was behind the stage in the 300 level of the United Center next to the two drunkest douchebags I've ever seen in my life and it was still the 3rd best concert I've ever been to. It would have been #2 w/o the douches

As rowdy as your local Schnucks grocery store Preperation-H aisle.

the " pit pigs " , as they are known by on the btx boards,.
are often visited by the same people at multiple shows ( wonder how they get in there everytime- either that or they are paying and arm and a leg nightly )

i think this varies from venue to venue, city to city .
of course the ultimate intangible is Bruces energy levels on any given night,
we all know he commands the crowds pretty good no matter what , usually having them eating out of the palm of his hands.

  • I tend to avoid GA floors like the plague but decided on doing Portland GA just for the hell of it. Nice to know my Fiancee and I won't get murdered, hopefully we can get a spot where she can see though.

Blood Brothers alt is a totally different song in terms of arrangement. also on that EP:
    High Hopes (cover)
    Murder Inc. (live)
    Secret Garden (with strings)
Without You (not sure if it's a cover... don't think so)

I was finally able to get the Blood Brothers EP.
I bought it from an Amazon seller for $23.00 with shipping.
It was brand new and came packaged with the VHS movie.
The different version of Blood Brothers is amazing.
The other (2) new songs are not my favorites.
The live version of Murder Inc is not as good as the NYC version.
Still worth it just for Blood Brothers alone.

    Certainly won't be any moshing.
If you get into the front "pit" (there are 2 sections for GA), there'll be plenty of room to carve out a spot not too tightly packed and with a good sightline, unless you are at the front of the line, then the Gods of rock implore you to get along the rail at the stage and be squished, but it'll be worth it.
    This weekend we rock Portland

it's cool you got it. it is sort of a rare item nowadays. yeah, that alternate version of Blood Brothers rocks hard. i really dig High Hopes.. other than that it's sort of a wash.
