That's a good one to start with...that's the first one I looked up...pretty easy to play.

Short term solution...order through Amazon...that way you can hear the new tracks even though you don't have the actual CD.

    Mike Brady here,

Haven't really read the thread BUT this is the second best trucker release out there as far as I'm concerned. However it does take a back seat to decoration day which is their masterpiece. Hardest working and most rockin' band out there today!

    Peace.

    I'm speechless...

I'd never post this over at NineBullets, but while I respect and love all the songwriters in this band, I think Jason is the real "talent" - the guy that will write songs that people will love for decades. (I hope his solo disc isn't pushed too far back).

    This song is amazing.

    I like Jason's stuff, but I always gravitate toward Patterson's stuff...that being said...he is a great songwriter...very talented.

He brings so much to this band.

They all do really... I feel like I'm betraying Cooley and Patterson when I say that... cuz they are top notch.

But Jason is considerably younger and has already risen to their level...

(BTW - I agree - I think DD is the masterpiece so far...but this band is going to make a lot of records)...

    I think so too...maybe that's why I said I dig Patterson's stuff...because when I think about it...I really like Jason's tunes.

They all bring their own talents to the band and it's songwriting process.

All bow down before the mighty PBM!!!! ;)

As per the ongoing conversation........Isbell probably has the greatest potential, and could probably carve out a better solo career than the other two song writers. He is probably more mainstream than Cooley and Hood, and I don't mean that in a bad way. That being said.....it's probably the Cooley songs that push my buttons.

Danko/Manuel is pretty easy to play too. I'm not that good, and I was able to get it pretty easily.

Since I tuned my guitar down to "D", I've been playing the hell out of Zip City and Carl Perkin's Cadillac.

Jason Isabell is on his game on this one ....... Dress Blues will bring you to your knees. "You never planned the bombs in the sand, or sleeping in your dress blues"

    This song is amazing

"You turned 22 and we`d celebrate you in a bar or a tent by the creek -the baby would just about be here, your very last tour woud be up"

2 1/2 hours till tonights show for me! Well actually it starts at 9 with one of the guys from the Meat Puppets opening, then Son Volt, then the mighty DBT.

Not a bad night of music at all. Plus I get to see them again in a little over a month when they roll into town with the Black Crowes and RRFB.
