    Air fried hot chicken strips:

    - olive oil
    - salt
    - cracked pepper
    - garlic powder
    - onion powder
    - smoked paprika
    - Mike's hot honey

Tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Spectacular. I'll never make chicken another way again. And super simple.

I love my air fryer. I'd marry it if I could. There are days when I use it for all 3 meals. It's a Cuisinart toaster/oven/air fryer hybrid.

spent extra time on the pork. Seared it up. Put some hickory sticks on the grill. Let them sit while I got the tomatillos, poblanos jalapeños onions ready. Pureed them up. Now simmering away. Should be fantastic. Its been a while.
I know t h e extra time with the pork will reward my tastebuds!
    Looks great Lou!

Thanks. I wish it could share some. Had some 'tropical frying cheese' i had with it today. Really like the addition of diced yucca. Always had larger pieces in other stuff. Good plain vehicle for flavor. Works.

Looks great. I love my air fryer as well. I have a combo toaster oven/air fryer as well. But I have a Ninja. I make a similar type of chicken tenders with different spices but also coat them with whole wheat panko. I haven't made those in a while. Might be time to do that again.

For sure. An air fryer is basically the same as a convection oven. It just concentrates the heat more in a smaller area so things cook faster and crispier. But you can play with the time and temperature. I have cooked my breaded tenders in my regular oven. I just spritz them with avocado oil or olive oil to help with the crisping.

My favorite of the places he visited is also super touristy, but lived up to the hype. Swan Oyster Depot in San Fran. Strangely, their oysters were not great. But their dungeness crab offerings were outstanding. I even said to my brother, this could be better than Maine lobster. They also have different seafood carpaccios that are absolutely delicious. It is a quirky place. You basically go for breakfast as you might at the fish market in Japan.
Those Dungees are caught right there where as those oysters were flown in. Most likely from here on Long Island.  Those should have been good too though.

Nah, those oysters were West Coast, mostly from Washington State and BC. Blue Points would have been better. But if you are ever near SF and have the time, go up to Tomales Bay. The Hog Island oyster farm and The Marshall Store have some of the best oysters I have ever had. They pull them right out of the bay as you are there, and at Hog Island they dump them right on your table. You have to do the shucking!
    That sounds like fun!.

Yeah we are spoiled here.  We have Blue Points and Peconics locally at most places.

    That looks awesome.

I have avocado toast once a week for breakfast. I just mash it up and throw on some Trader Joe's Everything seasoning. I'd love to kick it up a notch. Maybe I'll try something like this.

That TJ everything seasoning is amazing.  Big fan.

This is simple and tastes great.  Everything But The Bagel seasoning would be good on this.  Thx for the idea!

I am also in love with my air fryer. It is especially great for all chicken (whole too) and pork, and makes the best baked potatoes possible, among other things. Mine is the Ninja Foodi 10-in-1 8-quart, so it literally does everything including pressure cooking, and it does it all well. I talk of it highly often!

Last night’s daily special at the bar near the practice space was Loco Moco. It did not disappoint.

I have a thread over in the Musicians and Gearheads forum, although I haven't provided any updates there for a while. We are headed to Chicago next Saturday to record a new record.  B)
