I’d love to see a ticket lottery for next tour limited to 2 choices:

    GA/P2 seated
    or
    P1 seated

    P1 - floor/lower level seated
    P2 - upper level seated

I fail to understand the pairing of GA with P2.

It will cut down on the people using multiple memberships to go all in on GA tickets.  The prospect of possibly being awarded upper level seats would require people to be more circumspect in their ticket entries and likely lead to more fans getting access to tickets.

i hope the rail birds are doing ok these days.  they have such a special connection with Ed and the band.  not sure how they can survive such a long break by the band.  they must walk around in a fog (sarcasm folks...mostly)

GA folks can do their thing. You can get close without the nonsense of lining up. What sucks is that TM is eliminating the best reserved seats for 10C members and pushing us further back to sell premium seats. The days of a full 10C sections in the 100s next to the stage seem to be over. Member since 98.
    this much is true.
I had these tickets the last show in Phoenix a few years back. The row in front of me were friends of the band. I was maybe 20 feet from Mike. All 10 Clubbers behind me

Game theory. Option 1 is high risk/high reward. Option 2 is a guaranteed known quantity. If you have a higher number a good chance you get better seats with Option 2 as a lot of lower number members roll the dice.

If you have a lower number reserved is they way to go. Unfortunately ticketmaster has taken those prime seats away from us and now the seats are much further back. I always go P2 for high demand shows like MSG and am usually rewarded.
