I honestly think she made the right pick. A black woman running with a gay man would have become a punchline in conservative america (and late night shows-let’s be honest). I think Pete has a better chance at the top.Gern Blansten said:

Maga would have thought they had it in the bag and would have been lazy.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
I still think it would have gone the same way. People were upset by inflation and want to try different things, even despite them being awful, it was always gonna go this way.0

yeah it's hindsight but the attack machine was able to trash Walz pretty well...HughFreakingDillon said:

I need to listen and find the context to this quote from Rep. Jasmine Crockett from the Getting Better with Jonathan Van Ness podcast, because this is bizarre:"Just because someone has committed a crime, it doesn't make them a criminal. That, that is completely different. Being a criminal is moreso about your mindset. Commiting a crime can come for a lot of different reasons."1993: 11/22 Little Rock

Nothing bizarre at all. She’s referring to types of criminals. There can be repeat offenders whose orientation is built around committing crimes, like a drug dealer or someone who steals cars regularly, vs someone who committed a crime spontaneously and it was outside of their typical behavior.DE4173 said:I need to listen and find the context to this quote from Rep. Thank you for the context!
My mind was blown... how can someone that commits a crime not be a criminal?
