I honestly think she made the right pick. A black woman running with a gay man would have become a punchline in conservative america (and late night shows-let’s be honest). I think Pete has a better chance at the top.

Come to think of it, maybe that WOULD HAVE been a winning ticket. Think Trump in 2016. Maga would have thought they had it in the bag and would have been lazy.

I still think it would have gone the same way. People were upset by inflation and want to try different things, even despite them being awful, it was always gonna go this way.

yeah it's hindsight but the attack machine was able to trash Walz pretty well...

That Talarico guy in TX is going to be a player. He's as eloquent as Pete.

I need to listen and find the context to this quote from Rep. Jasmine Crockett from the Getting Better with Jonathan Van Ness podcast, because this is bizarre:

"Just because someone has committed a crime, it doesn't make them a criminal. That, that is completely different. Being a criminal is moreso about your mindset. Commiting a crime can come for a lot of different reasons."

Nothing bizarre at all. She’s referring to types of criminals. There can be repeat offenders whose orientation is built around committing crimes, like a drug dealer or someone who steals cars regularly, vs someone who committed a crime spontaneously and it was outside of their typical behavior.

    Thank you for the context!

My mind was blown... how can someone that commits a crime not be a criminal?
