I find it hard to believe that we have mass shootings everywhere and haven't had one in NYC in 25 years?
It's *almost* as if gun laws work.
Or people actually change?  Dude was from out of state so it makes sense now.
    Holy shit, dude.

No mass shootings in 25 years (your claim).... NY State has the 4th lowest rate of gun violence. Facts are facts.

    Gun laws work.

    https://everytownresearch.org/rankings/

"We compared gun policy across the country, scoring every state on the strength of its gun laws and comparing it with its rate of gun violence. In states where elected officials have taken action to pass gun safety laws, fewer people die by gun violence. Choose a state to see how it stacks up on 50 key policies, or explore a policy to see how much of the country has adopted it."
HOLY shit indeed!  NYS also had a tremendous increase in Concealed weapons permits and the state still manages to be safe. So, do people change or are the looser gun laws just an anomaly?
IDK what conversation you're trying to have here. Are you pushing back on the assertion that gun laws work?
Opposite.  I am saying the culture can change.  We have more conceal carry permits now than ever in NY and it never turned into the wild west.

It is not what the anti gun people were touting.  They expected to have shootouts on every street corner if CC was easier to get.
I'm under the impression Hoculi put new laws into effect since the SC decision a few years ago making the CC permits harder to get & limiting where people can bring their guns, and that NYS still has some of the toughest gun laws (& one of the lowest rates of death by firearm) in the nation.

    Am I mistaken?

Perpetrated by those I mentioned. Don’t worry, the NG will be on campus soon. It’s being looked at. Very strong response. Probably in two weeks or so.
