Isn’t Ten Club seating supposed to be by seniority?  Maybe if the ten club gave the pit to the most senior members who won tickets to each show, unless they opted out, we would have less problems.  It’s kind of unfair to make people who have been in the club from the beginning compete for the closest tickets with people who joined the club the day before the cutoff.
You think that would cause less problems……that sounds like a shit show waiting to happen. Just giving GA to the oldest members is super wack in my opinion. Everyone should be entitled to have a shot at the pit.
and provides zero reason for new members to join. @on2legs what's your 10C number?!
New members still have the same opportunity to win tickets as the rest of the club.  If they want to be snobbish about having seats further away than 30 year members then maybe try the public sale.
This is not the way…..sorry. You’re way off on this one
It would hold true to the ten clubs longtime practice of distributing tickets by seniority.   And it would filter out the GA hooligans.
Why would you assume they don't have low numbers?

Personally I’ve had GA 8 times and it’s been an amazing experience every time, but all good things will eventually come to an end.
This is really simple, give up GA and all the best seats in the house become premium. GA allows for a much larger group of 10C members to experience the best spots in the house. Don't let a few bad seeds upset the apple cart. Plus, dont believe everything you read. There are always going to be trolling complainers on an internet forum. By and large, GA is a phenomenal experience and it would be a HUGE mistake to wish it away.
What I read and believe is the Ten Club's own posts telling people to cut the shit

I point out yet again that these posts always acknowledge bad apples as if there should be any bad apples in a line of people waiting to enter a concert

What gives you the fucking right to think you’re entitled to jump the line for doors? And then lie about it as if everyone didn’t just witness y’all do it? Whole ass crowd of ya.

Fucking grown ass adults trying to jump line.

    Grow the fuck up.
What happened? The doors at Highmark gate were orderly when they opened.
Was fine until about the first 50ish ppl got in then a bunch of assholes bum rushed from the left where the line had turned back up the hill. A whole big group of about 100 ppl just bullied their way in and cut in front of ppl who’d been waiting in line for over an hour like normal, respectful, organized human beings.
    Yeah, I saw that happen.

Unfortunately, the people up the hill were just following and had no clue the people in front had cut the line.

I was back right where the line bent to go up the hill and saw it all happen. I guess they should have put more barriers in place to crowd control since people can't do it themselves.

The GA line is configured differently this time. More barriers make it harder for people to cut through.

I worry about aspects of ticketing blowing up as a result of (a) one of these incidents between attendees escalating or (b) an incident that stems from people camping out on a city street being targeted. I kinda hope they rethink things before something happens but imagine they'd have to if it's after.

Yeah… it just seems like there is so much tension in these lines.  It would definitely be wise for the ten club to get ahead of this before something happens.

    Question for anyone

Would you be willing to be a volunteer “watcher” of the merch lines when they come to your town?  Maybe help advice the locals who will work it how to set things up to keep the asses in line (physically and mentally)

No reason to watch outside during the concert because there’s barely anyone in line so you wouldn’t miss anything

This seems like another recipe for trouble. This is the job of whatever security is being used by whomever is in charge of the merch table. If they're not being vigilant then it is what it is.

Best of your ‘block’ - good old days! Or was that lining up outside the local department store’s ticket center? Or was it calling on the phone with Mom’s credit card in March 94?! If they come to St.Louis this fall I’ll come hang in GA back by the soundboard with you all!

A self-designated line cop will only increase tensions. Lines and the pit need to self-police at the point of where the offense is happening.
