Disappointed in Pearl Jam fans…

The two guys I blocked by extending my arm & poster tube out like a railroad crossing guard tried to pull the same “I was behind you the whole time” bullshit.PJ N DC said:
100% The entitled "GA Crew" that travel from show to show are absolutely the reason the Pearl Jam experience is declining. They send a couple of people to wait in the Merch Line and a few people to sit in the GA Line. About an hour before Merch and Doors open up they come out of their tents and Ubers and walk up and join there friends and act like they belong there and that is not an issue. I literally watched 20 people cut in the Merch Line and then lie that they were there the whole time. These are the people that are flipping all the merch and taking away the ability for people to purchase at original pricing. "Get Right" is exactly right as no one associated with the band gives a rats ass.Get_Right said:You cut the line for GA. You cut the line for merch. Reality is that there are no penalties other than dirty looks. The band does not care. Security does not care. Vendors do not care. You might even make a few bucks off your merch. Good for you if you put in the time. If all you care about is your place in line and people gaming the system, you are not there for the right reasons IMHO. Be done with merch. Be done with waiting all day to get three rows closer and bringing kids to get a tambourine. Just go see the best rock band on the planet and have a good time. The rest is stuff and nonsense.Don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -

Dude! There is always ways to work the system. I was 30 ppl back at Wrigley N2 GA 2016 inline for like 2 days having a great time hanging out and we were talking to these two girls in front of us about the band etc. and they were really kind of vague about seeing the band. About an hour before doors open these 4 dudes show up and pay the girls who were standing in line in front like $1000. Then the girls look at us and go ugh sorry nice meeting you. They didn't even like Pearl Jam! They didn't care. The dudes look at us and are like what?! We are not from here and wanted to see the city and not stand in line for two days. We were pissed and everyone is looking around like where did these guys come from? Is this real? How do people find a gig like this? Pearl Jam Fan Hunter Craig’s List? This my friends is the definition of “Jag Off”! So now how do work them in are they part of the line because two other people were there? Do they go to the back? Who is I charge of policing the line. It's always a cluster. I have seen the same for merch and have been approached. Random dude just waking by “Hey man if I give you x can you pick up this for me?” So is this wrong?Post edited by StardogChamp79 onAlpine Valley Music Theatre East Troy, Wisconsin (September 03, 2011); Alpine Valley Music Theatre East Troy, Wisconsin (September 04, 2011); Deluna Fest Pensacola, FL (September 21, 2012); Wrigley Field (July 19, 2013); Milwaukee, WI (October 20, 2014); Wrigley Field I (August 20, 2016); Wrigley Field II (August 22, 2016); Home Shows Seattle Night 1 (August 08, 2018); Home Shows Seattle Night 2 (August 10, 2018); Ohana Festival Dana Point (September 27th - 29th, 2019); Apollo Theater (September 10, 2022); Madison Square Garden (September 11, 2022), Bourbon & Beyond Louisville (September 17th, 2022); Las Vegas (May 16th, 2024); Las Vegas (May 18th, 2024).0

The way people get GA so much is multiple accounts. There is no limit on memberships. As long as you can use someone’s log in you’re golden. It’s $20 for a chance at GA. You could have accounts for your cat for Christ sakeson2legs said:YAKIMATSU said:
I'm coming around to your way of thinking. If people are joining the club merely for the opportunity of GA tickets something is out of whack. We all join for different reasons, but that was not even a consideration both times I joined in '98 and again in '08.on2legs said:
It would hold true to the ten clubs longtime practice of distributing tickets by seniority. And it would filter out the GA hooligans.tylermoore said:
This is not the way…..sorry. You’re way off on this oneon2legs said:
New members still have the same opportunity to win tickets as the rest of the club. If they want to be snobbish about having seats further away than 30 year members then maybe try the public sale.danofun said:
and provides zero reason for new members to join. @on2legs what's your 10C number?!tylermoore said:
You think that would cause less problems……that sounds like a shit show waiting to happen. Just giving GA to the oldest members is super wack in my opinion. Everyone should be entitled to have a shot at the pit.on2legs said:Isn’t Ten Club seating supposed to be by seniority? Maybe if the ten club gave the pit to the most senior members who won tickets to each show, unless they opted out, we would have less problems. It’s kind of unfair to make people who have been in the club from the beginning compete for the closest tickets with people who joined the club the day before the cutoff.
I signed up for the newsletter and the OPPPORTUNITY to be able to get better than average seats at 1 show for my all-time favorite band. I know times change but the quest for GA has diluted the club.👍🏻I’m not sure what the right answer is to solve it. Maybe there is no perfect solution. But GA really screwed people in the club from the early years. I only joined in 1997 so I don’t consider myself in that group. Those early members were supposed to have the best tickets available to the club. And GA pushes everyone’s tickets further back. So if they’re going to have a pit they should at least put the people there from the early days in it.0 -

4 dudes replacing 2 girls is definitely not cool..0 -
I feel like Pearl Jam could vastly improve the experience with a couple changes:
Merch Packs sold presale for fans who purchase 10C tickets (or open up to other verified ticket holders if possible). Not sure if shipping is good or if it is possible to have them pre-packaged for pickup at the venue. I would pay a small premium for this.
GA line wristband/random start of line system.

I’ve been fan of older/other bands for a lifetime…and so many negative issues never even knew were possible with all the ticket rules they have and insistence that GA is somehow better for everyone. Oh well..0

I had a bunch of guys try to charge me £180 for a ticket to see Pearl Jam in London then pretended to be sick when the gig was only half sold out - disgrace really.0
