    True, but JT caused many of the problems by cranking up immigration numbers to unsustainable levels, creating all sorts of infrastructure problems, which then fall on the provinces.  Ideally I'd like to see our government working together to plan this shit out, instead of the Feds doing one thing, and dumping a major problem onto the provinces.

    I'm still of the, all the political parties suck, but I think it's time for him to go, I think our government needs a reset.  Ideally for me, the Libs would then do a leader review, and maybe drift a bit back towards the centre.
    to your point... even though every one else sucks.. .especially Polievre in my opinion... Trudeau absolutely needs to go. I used to be on board with a different Liberal taking over, but lately I find they all stink.  Much like when Harper and the Conservatives were given a wake up call in 2015, the Liberals need to lose, and lose big.

    It’s also interesting seeing all the rumours of parliament being prorogued. So much for no legislative trickery, but this wouldn’t even be their first proroguing. Ultimately that would just be a game of chicken instigated by the Trudeauites to force a confidence vote on the new throne speech. Justin would love nothing more than to be campaigning against Trump instead of Poilievre I believe.

    Just some opinions on the interview...  

    love him or hate him, he nailed it. Like... absolutely brilliantly nailed it.  Whether it was sincere, phony, etc. whatever you want to call it, strategically, it was a brilliant interview by Trudeau. If you take substance, history, and policy out of the equation.....  what he showcased was class, dignity, character, and charm. His timing of which when all we're seeing is negativity and attacks is simply brilliant. I'm not basing this on anything other than the interview of course but based solely on the interview, he nailed it. 

    You could tell he wanted to avoid American politics entirely, but if there was one thing I would have loved to have seen from this was him correcting Colbert on the Polievre / Trump comparison.   TO BE CLEAR... I can understand strategically why he didn't... but it would have been refreshing if he simply stated that Polievre is nowhere near close to being compared to Trump.    You can make the argument that they both employ populism, but that's about it.

    Not this one, doesn’t strike me as wise use of precious taxpayer dollars on first blush. And stopping at Scarborough makes no sense, the east end of Oshawa or even into Coburg would be more logical.

    Agreed, the thing is the congestion levels here need addressing so I’m interested to see what the feasibility report shows, maybe the tunnel might actually be the way to go.

    As I said I don’t like the idea on the surface but I’m all for hearing an analysis on this and any other measures that get dreamed up, at this point no options should be off the table. Except maybe another elevated expressway, the Gardiner isn’t really a glowing endorsement of that option, lol.

    I've said this before... and I'll say it again... I wish the conservatives would shut the fuck up during question period. And it is a THEM problem.  They have way too many back benchers who cannot keep their mouths shut. This is a constant issue... to me it makes them look bad, makes them look childish, makes them look unprofessional. The heckling, the yelling, the shouting. It's fucking obnoxious. 

    That said, the answer to their problem is not doing the same thing. Commons shouldn't be a tit for tat situation and that to me is what Trudeau did.  If I'm the liberals or ndp and the other party smells like shit, I would simply remind the public about that... I wouldn't add more shit to the shit pile making the whole commons smell like shit.

    It was the torquing of the PM’s comments again. In the first version, which appears to include the complete quote, the entire CPC caucus is smeared. In the next version all of a sudden the PM was only accusing one MP. So which is the accurate version of events?

    It should also be noted that while he withdrew the defacation comment, the Speaker seemingly allowed the homophobic comment to stand.

    hard no.  Like I'm sorry... you can certainly say that all parties are guilty and you'd be correct.  The same way you can say that all politicians engage in lying.  For sure.  But the degree to which some parties do and some politicians do is important. 

    I've watched a lot of question period (against my best judgement) and without a doubt the Conservatives are constantly yelling shit. Constantly. The interrupting, the yelling, shouting, hollering... is in deed a Conservative trait.  They need to own it, and folks need to recognize it. It's shocking to me that anyone would suggest otherwise, unless they've never sat through a question period.

    Just remember they all suck.  It doesn't matter what we vote for.  I doubt any problems will be solved, or much of anything will improve regardless of who we vote in.   Not sure why everyone argues one party is worse than other, or party hurls less insults than yours.  The truth is they all suck, and we don't have any good options.     None of these parties are worth defending.

    agree 100%. It's become a circus as it is anyway, but the cons yell and shout WAY more than the libs or the dems.
