Wild show. Felt very political with songs like Daughter, Glorified G, I Am A Patriot, Leash, Gimme Some Truth, Rocking in the Free World, etc. With the election coming up, and following yet another school shooting, felt like the band had something to say.But there was also a lot of joy and laughter and fun. Especially at the end with Sonic Reducer and Rocking in the Free World.Post edited by ZeMightyJedd on2013: Baltimore, Los Angeles (1&2), Seattle

I have so many thoughts about tonight and will report back fully but for now cannot stop thinking about and laughing at the idiots there yelling at Eddie while he was speaking or booing his message about women’s rights or his spiel on guns. I thought maybe some years of educating and lived experience would help this fan base but it seems it is as misogynistic and idiotic and tone deaf as ever. Pretty disappointing to see from the crowd of mostly middle aged white men, but I still really enjoyed the show.

Main set was great, the encore was brutal until the final few songs. You’ve got a rabid MSG crowd in the palm of your hand and you have the rest of the band sitting in the back while Eddie does two covers and Just Breathe? Could’ve been a classic but not to be. Too bad whatever member of the band who was arguing with Eddie about the setlist during the encore break didn’t put their foot down. Seeing Little Steven was cool though.0

Fortunately there was nothing but love, good behavior and support in my section. I do wonder if the booing you heard was actually people agreeing with Eddie and booing the troubling state of women’s rights? Is that possible?allstar340 said:I have so many thoughts about tonight and will report back fully but for now cannot stop thinking about and laughing at the idiots there yelling at Eddie while he was speaking or booing his message about women’s rights or his spiel on guns. And that is exactly why shows are extremely subjective. The encore was a brutal slow burn. Still PJ so good, but sheesh.tdawe said:Now that was more like it.hippiemom = goodness0 -
Encore was absolutely brutal. Cover after cover after cover. No thank you. Ruined the show for me. Could’ve easily been a classic. What a terrible decision.0

A stellar 2 night run where the setlist tonight not only filled in last night gaps but also surprised us (Patriot Glorified G Sonic Reducer and Leash)

Funny - I thought the misstep in the encore was Just Breath. I would have ditched that and added one more rocker (Go?) after Glen, but the covers didn’t bother me. I agree that three sit-down songs was too many. Not enough to ruin a good show though IMO.nicknyr15 said:Encore was absolutely brutal. Cover after cover after cover. No thank you. Terrible encore. The energy totally got sucked out and my section of middle-aged people never recovered 😂😂 There were no assholes in my vicinity, but the wind got taken out of the sails with too many slow songs. These slow sets made sense when they were doing two encores and 3 hour shows but didn’t work tonight.I do like seeing Happy Ed. My favourite line: He’s a stand up guy, standing friend and that’s a standup bass. Ed was quite proud of that one 🤣🤣
Suffice to say I enjoyed N1 much better.
Shout out to MSG: great organization, friendly staff and like OMG there was no line at the merch stand I went to like what. And lots of air circulation inside, it was cool and comfy and I didn’t feel like I was suffocating. Entry and exit were a breeze. So proud as a New Yorker ✌🏼0 -
Another great show. Main set was excellent, and the energy from the crowd was incredible. Much better than night 1. The encore had a bunch of highlights and fun moments, but a ton of covers and a lot of songs without the full band. I got the feeling that Ed still writes out the encore as if they are playing 2 - if that were the case, this really wouldn’t be too bad. As it was, it was a little deflating.Highlights: WFS, Won’t Tell, Not for You, Leash.Overall super grateful to have sent these shoes and can’t wait for Philly!you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane0

I thought the encore was great but I also took a substantial pee break during Just Breathe.0
