WTF is this about needing an MLB acct to use your ticketmaster tickets at FENWAY?

Got his in an email today. It seems we can't use our ticketmasters tickets thru ticketmaster. We have too create an MLB acct to gain entry. Did anyone else get this?

Hello,

The Face Value Exchange for your upcoming Pearl Jam show at Fenway Park will close 10 days prior to the concert on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.  After that time, tickets will not be able to be sold or purchased through the Exchange. Fenway Park requires that all tickets must be rendered in an MLB account to enter the show – details below. You will not be able to access your tickets through the Ticketmaster app or website.

    also the tickets I have in my Ticketmaster app and in my iPhone wallet do not show up in the MLB ballpark app.....  WTF

    I guess we will see. Also, I remember I had to buy Paul McCartney tickets at Camden Yards through the MLB App a few years ago and I was able to save them in my Apple Wallet before the show. Maybe that will happen with these as well.

    Standard for most concerts that I’ve been to at MLB parks. In the Midwest anyway. It’s a free app, no big deal really.

    if the app works, great but the tickets I have don't show up in it which is concerning since the email says you won't be able to access the tickets in the TM app. it makes no mention about the apple wallet.  I have the tickets in my wallet, but the communication is shit.

    TM is a cluster. I wish PJ was able to get support in putting these a-holes in their place 30 years ago.

    It's too late for this tour but 39 states and the district of columbia have filed a lawsuit against ticketmaster and live nation for violation of the sherman act for being a monopoly.

    They are using our assets to make their money, and making us jump thru hoops. Like the $200 cost isn't enough. Its like this for everything now, and the consumer has zero protection from the whims of our corporate masters.

    In addition to temporary bloat on our phones, there will be at least one fan in front of you not knowing the moving target changing requirements for entry and will hold up the line causing delays.

    I think Glow Girl warned about this. And edit: many of the the ball parks are tied to MLB.

    Yes. I posted a thread about this several weeks ago to give people notice about F2F shutting down early for Fenway. I hope a lot of people saw it.
