Would you say that the majority of those top 10 would be Blue states? So what would make someone believe that Democrats are looking to lower anyone’s taxes. Or are they just being disingenuous?

i propose the blue states absolutely stop subsidizing the red states. you know, the broke ass states that receive more federal dollars than they take in.

they want to vote red and have no taxes, they can fend for themselves when a hurricane hits.

I think Tim and Smelly answered it by saying that you should line up the 50 states by total tax burden, if that is indeed the metric you want to line it up with, and then compare it to quality of life metrics such as crime, education attainment, unemployment rate, quality of infrastructure and public transportation, average commute times, health, longevity, etc. I’m willing to go out a limb and take a guess that those high tax rates states will have better outcomes than lower tax rate states. But it’s all subjective. NH doesn’t have sales or state income taxes but their property taxes? Oh boy. Now, easy enough to really take advantage by not owning real estate but then you negate the advantage of gaining equity. CA and NY have several, up to 7, graduated income tax brackets, so, depending on what you earn as a resident, determines your “effective tax rate.” TN taxes groceries. Depending on how much a family of four spends annually on groceries, determines your “effective tax rate.” And while the state taxes groceries, other localities may also have a tax rate that applies so that one family’s tax burden in one county/city/town may be more of a burden than another’s in a different location.

Same with the drug price negotiations and pricing. States with unhealthier populations and greater numbers of old folks will benefit more from that than a state with a healthier and younger population. Everything is a trade off.

You want to live in Flo Rida or Tejas? Go at it. Couldn’t pay me enough to live in either of those two states. I won’t even visit and spend money there to support those clown gubners.

Don’t you have some mile long copy and paste drivel article, that no one ever reads,  from some radical blog,  that shows how Blue states actually have no taxes at all?

Wow, this must be a first: PBS’ Judy Woodruff apologizes for falsely telling live audience Trump tried to talk Israel out of cease-fire deal.

see, this is what credible journalists do when they make a mistake in their reporting.

Not a first (and discussed here previously...try to keep up) ...good journalists do this all the time. Morons double down and repeat the same false bullshit.

i don't know why you constantly have to attack other posters for things they post. it's like you post just to get a reaction.

I mean, regardless of her politics (which is what you are getting at here), her story can only happen in America and that’s what he’s getting at.
