    Oh Dude!
  • I think the advice would be, going forward, just try to see the shows that are closer to you and don’t make big travel plans.  It’s a gamble and nothing about it is inexpensive.

Bummer.  I wouldn’t read too much into this cancelation just yet. Ed got sick, played a show, sounded rough, and 2-3 days later he’s probably gotten worse.

The band sounded awesome on Leg 1 when healthy.  I get that our instincts are to hypothesize a larger meaning based on the cancelation, but let’s see how the next week plays out.

As someone who flew to Indy last year, I feel for those impacted.  It sucks, plain and simple.

Would rather go watch a Liam Gallagher show in Manchester if I had it in me to change city for tonight, but would for sure go se Green Day if I was stuck in London without a PJ show tomorrow.

I’d go see SZA in the sunshine in Hyde Park if in London anyway.

Live close enough to just not travel in though.

I think artists forget that giving 48 hours notice could save their fans hundreds in lost travel costs.  I get that there's no impact on them if they cancel 7 days or 7 hours before a show, but there is for attendees.  PJ have become far too unreliable now, combined with over-inflated prices that they then had to slash. If they doubted Eddie could perform after Manchester, they should have pulled the plug then to allow fans to recoup some travel costs. Obviously, I hope they're all well soon, but the pricing for this was such a betrayal of their roots that this is the last straw for me. Combined with tickets being £10 this week on re-sale sites versus the £150 through Ten Club, I can't even see renewing a Ten Club subscription any more, which is sad.

Sza at BST in Hyde Park. Janelle Monae at Brixton academy. Burna Boy at London Stadium. The cat empire at electric ballroom. That's what I could see at a quick glance
