I think artists forget that giving 48 hours notice could save their fans hundreds in lost travel costs. I get that there's no impact on them if they cancel 7 days or 7 hours before a show, but there is for attendees. PJ have become far too unreliable now, combined with over-inflated prices that they then had to slash. If they doubted Eddie could perform after Manchester, they should have pulled the plug then to allow fans to recoup some travel costs. Obviously, I hope they're all well soon, but the pricing for this was such a betrayal of their roots that this is the last straw for me. Combined with tickets being £10 this week on re-sale sites versus the £150 through Ten Club, I can't even see renewing a Ten Club subscription any more, which is sad.
In London now for my 4th cancelled show, may as well make the best of it anything else on other than green day ?
Sza at BST in Hyde Park. Janelle Monae at Brixton academy. Burna Boy at London Stadium. The cat empire at electric ballroom. That's what I could see at a quick glance

If only I knew any of them :-)
Which is why I grabbed a couple of green day tickets haha. I know them all but not really my thing.

Lost money on hotel and train bookings, gutted but even more so for the ones travelling from afar, sadly these cancellations are getting more frequent and this is now my 3rd in the last couple of years, can’t see it getting any better to be honest… at least we’re in Llangollen today for the Manics and Suede and currently nursing a pint

Well, as a Tottenham fan from the US who planned a 3 week trip around this (starting with this show) Im so gutted for this show. And terrified of the Berlin and Barcelona shows
Also, are they still selling the merch? I was in line there and bought it with tons of other folks while this announcement was dropping
Yes they are today but not tomorrow, could have given everyone in the queue an event shirt for free
They'll never give out free merch. Pearl Jam is as much of a corporate cash machine at this point as any other big band out there. Those shirts and posters will be future Mystery box filler.

I can tell you for sure there were TONS of visible pallets full of stuff that were in a different room. I went through and out by 1230, still a line after the announcement was made but I’d assume it would completely stop after
Comments
I do hope the band is OK and on the mend.
