    great bands evolve and try new things. having a residency in vegas doesn't have the same cheese factor connotations it once did. I'd go in a heartbeat.

    Probably not Europe again at €180 a ticket! F##k that s##t!! Does this band have no shame charging those prices for what they do!!! Hello, major cost of living crisis going on!!! 180 a ticket!!

    Yeah, not that booking an arena tour is easy but I imagine it's a lot of work to get a Sphere residency planned

    I would imagine the cheapest ticket at the sphere would be $250.

    I can't imagine them doing a European tour in this form again. Even though I would like to see them in Europe every year and I wish it for as many fans in as many countries as possible, I fear that they will take a much longer European break than usual.

    It's not just a Europe problem.  They clearly tried to play fewer cities with more rest days and bigger venues this go around.  It also has to do with the high ticket costs.

    People are quick to forget even the United Center shows last year had folks on here begging people to take their tickets last minute for below face value.  

    Ultimately, even in the US, the band hasn't been on a proper full country tour since 2013/2014.  I bet if PJ had done a traditional Europe run with Amsterdam, Vienna, Prague, etc and played the usual arenas, ticket sales would have been fine for the most part.

    I guess it will be 3 or 4 weekend festivals and arena shows inbetween, Saturday Tuesday/Wednesday Saturday or something like that so they still get time off

    Exactly. November / December announcement and places like the O2 instead of Spurs, plus Amsterdam, Poland etc would have all sold no different to 2018 or 2022

    Yeah skipping Italy and not rescheduling Prague/Vienna were the two big head scratchers. The last time they played Milan was 10 years ago! The London date and venue is also obviously weird. 

    I hope this Europe leg is a blessing in disguise for the future of Euro shows. Smaller venue shows in other cities….Hamburg, Munich, Zagreb, Lyon, Marseille, Bilbao, Oslo, etc.

    If Sphere was the only 2025 shows then I would be in. I think they are past due for a Jazzfest show….

    Good point, thanks for bringing my expectations in check.  I updated my post to say 3-4, where even 3 shows would be fantastic, and 4 a bonus.
    I actually think the day off between shows has worked out nicely for band and fans alike. I’d go so far as to state Matt’s drumming was harder hitting during this year’s tour than last.
    I agree about the day off.  This helps based on their ages as well.  I could be wrong but didn’t Matt have covid last tour?  If so that would have contributed to his playing.

    I think it has been severely tested by charging €180 during a severe cost of living crisis in Europe.

    I hate the day off personally. Sure do whats best for the band and the sound of the show/Eddies voice but as a traveling fan it sucks shelling out more money for hotels/food and everything else that comes with traveling. Also if you are doing multiple cities with the way the tour is set up now you have two days off between cities as well. It adds 3 days to the tour if you are doing 4 shows compared to how they toured in the past.

    I wasn’t suggesting it was any skin off your hide. 
    What a strange thing to say! Europe might bother with them if the ticket price was reasonable but for €180, you have a situation like this! .
