Of course, we can't have a discussion about 80s music with these two bands.First, a little Dinosaur! Here's an old favorite and the utterly weird but fun video:And this highly animated and complex video from one of my all-time favorites:

Whitesnake. Underrated. David Coverdale, bluesy rock.
Crazy ladies in videos helped, as well

I saw Whitesnake open for Jethro Tull in (I'm pretty sure it was) 1980. I was a huge Tull fan at the time (and still like them a lot) and sort of young and very impatient, so I didn't pay much attention or give them their due because I was excited to see JT. Too bad because, yeah, they're an excellent band.

Any 80s REM is my favorite. I’ll throw out Radio Free Europe.I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.0
-
I’ll second that and throw in Texarkana or Cuyahoga!0

I got home, put the LP on the turntable, and when Radio Free Europe started playing it just totally knocked me right out. What a great album!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0
