Whitesnake. Underrated. David Coverdale, bluesy rock. Crazy ladies in videos helped, as well
I saw Whitesnake open for Jethro Tull in (I'm pretty sure it was) 1980. I was a huge Tull fan at the time (and still like them a lot) and sort of young and very impatient, so I didn't pay much attention or give them their due because I was excited to see JT. Too bad because, yeah, they're an excellent band.

Any 80s REM is my favorite. I’ll throw out Radio Free Europe.
Great song, excellent choice, G!
When Murmur first came out, from hearing word that this was a ground breaking album, I ran out and bought a vinyl copy. I got home, put the LP on the turntable, and when Radio Free Europe started playing it just totally knocked me right out. What a great album!

Was lucky to have seen The Jam in my hometown on Long Island in the late 80’s in a small theater! Really good show they played all their hits Town called Malice was epic
They used to play all over Long Island my friend was good friends with Brian’ brother so we got into them hanging with him! And like a lot of bands they were popular in the UK before making a splash here in the states

Not sure but I’d rather try for tickets to QOTSA Boston Saturday night Sept 28th? I really want to go to this show

80s REM >>> 90s REM
This is totally true, but I love Automatic, Monster, and New Adventures. I’m also a big fan of Accelerate and Collapse.
I love all REM, but their initial work was cutting edge. All of my favorite records of theirs are in the 80s. Murmur and Life's Rich Pageant are 1 and 2 for me.
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.
