A large part of traveling to shows for me is seeing them in different venues and places and experiencing those cities that I otherwise wouldn't be going out of my way to travel to.  I will be less excited if the trend continues and I've checked the interesting (to me) places off of the list.
Same. I’ve seen them in every city on the upcoming rumored dates other than Portland.

Same, but living here around Portland OR, of course I'll see that show and Seattle since that's the boys' home town!
    Portland, OR (November 29, 2013) | Seattle, WA (December 06, 2013) | Leeds, UK (July 08, 2014) | St Paul, MN (October 19, 2014) | Denver, CO (October 22, 2014) | Mexico City, MX (November 28, 2015) | Miami (April 09, 2016) | Boston 1 (August 05, 2016) | Prague (July 01, 2018) | Krakow (July 03, 2018) | Berlin (July 05, 2018) | Barcelona (July 10, 2018) | Seattle Night 2 (August 10, 2018) | Missoula, MT (August 13, 2018) | Ohana Festival (September 26, 2021) | Los Angeles (May 06, 2022) | Frankfurt (June 28, 2022) | Copenhagen (July 05, 2022) | London Hyde Park (July 08, 2022) | London Hyde Park (July 09, 2022) | Budapest (July 12, 2022) | New York (September 11, 2022) | St Paul (September 02, 2023) | Chicago (September 05, 2023) | Ft. The only thing I read in any of your posts is your location.

    Damn, I miss Gord.

While I have so many favorite songs to open a show with... I don't think anything tops Grace, Too
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

How about how PJ Touring impacts? If the Vitalogy foundation supports environment, indigenous, and homelessness, how does touring contribute to these problems?

Does the 2 days/city model encourage more flight pollution and short-term rentals that increase homelessness which disproportionate affects indigenous people?

Do you think the entertainment industry effects short-term rentals which impacts those experiencing homelessness when people travel to shows rather than the show touring to them?

I wanted to let those people who are booking short-term rentals in Vancouver, BC know that they might lose their booking if their operator decides to follow new law. Maybe Pearl Jam fans will care and respect this law that is made to protect people? Maybe they will book a hotel in case hotels jack their rates when SROs become illegal May 1st?

I notice it's mostly Canadian bands covering their work. I didn't spend too much time with Gord, moreso with his bandmates. I miss dancing to the sway of the long hair dude Ron/Rob/Bob whatever... And I really miss Gord's work promoting First Nation, Inuit, and Metis rights!

We have a similar law here and it does nothing to deter Airbnb’s. The fine isn’t enough to worry about for homeowners making a ton from their rentals.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
  • There is one reason and only one reason why they'll announce and start selling on 2/13/24...

Oh that's so sad to hear hear. I was hoping opioid addicts would finally be able to rent homes! My town woke up to a tent fire in the news when people were trying not to freeze to death last night!

Well, as long as we all can save a buck when we travel, hey! (Insert angry sarcastic emoji.) Man, I hate humanity.

I honestly don't know. I wish I had enough information to speak on it.
I mean, I'm sure whenever there's a large event in any town the Airbnbs get flooded.
I know lots of cities are cracking down on them, but it seems to be more of trying to stem over tourism, like Amsterdam.

I wasn't aware of countries banning SROs for over-tourism. Here they are taking homes away from people who need them.

p.s.Thanks for your packing tip. I didn't know those things existed. Now I have to decide do I pick up some from Walmart down the road or save 10 bucks and have them shipped from China just for me? Fuck it, pack less, maybe just old clothes (mostly).

Yeah, no problem! The ones I got double zip down to really compress.
When you say taking away from those that need them, are you referring to investors buying up property?

It's that yeah investment properties it's also anyone that owns a second home that rents it out to short-term rentals rather than long-term people. Because there's not enough housing for everyone, people that are opioid addicts aren't getting housed because obviously you'd rather a student or a 9 to 5er renting your place right0

Ahhh.. thought they messed up on neuroscience gray matter lol. Or referred to difficult things...

The astronomy aspect makes much more sense given their recent foray with Quick Escape and space camp!
