I was trying to be tricky, but yes, the hypocrisy is so glaringly painful. I like to tell myself I’ve made sense of what the republican party has become, but watching them openly celebrate a sex offender really pushes the limit of my understanding.

It really is masterful how the RW media turned the Epstein thing into a black eye for Clinton when there is a much stronger connection to trump (as detailed in that Chris Hayes segment posted by Juggler). trump & company certainly have been rewarded for banking on the willful ignorance of their base.

I think the commonality is that the negative consequence a person receives for ill actions seems to be inversely proportional to wealth: that is, you have more consequence when you have less wealth, and vice-versa. In the reverse scenario, the amount of consequence has clearly gotten minuscule enough that the consequence is assumed to be nil, encouraging all sorts of nefarious behaviour.

He was obviously joking...  Seriously?  Did you even watch when he said it?  Very tongue in cheek.

I can't stand either of these guys. Kimmel has always been terrible and unfunny. And Rodgers has always been an insufferable douche. I was saying this long before most people, who have just turned on him in recent years.

That said, Kimmel would have no court case here. Rodgers said Kimmel doesn't want the list coming out. Sure, the implication is that he's on the list, but he didn't say that. And, there is some evidence (at least in a Rodgers legal defense) that, even if Kimmel isn't on the list, he doesn't want it coming out....

Rodgers made reference to wanting to see the list on the Pat McAfee show a few months ago. He didn't mention Kimmel or anybody else. This led to Kimmel talking about it on his show. Not making jokes of course but he's not funny. But rather, just shouting down Rodgers. Kimmel called him a "wack Packer" and suggested he go back to the concussion protocol. Just for bringing up the Epstein list? If he had jokes, it'd be one thing. But it was more a "Look at this crazy man talking about the Epstein list! Look how crazy he is!" 

Further, it's a fact that Kimmel was friends with Epstein's personal chef, Adam Perry Lang. Lang was actually once arrested at a house Kimmel owns. So that's another thing that can back up "Kimmel doesn't want the list coming out"  just because you can argue he wouldn't want to have his friend's possible misdeeds made public.

Legality of this alleged "slander" aside, Rodgers looks like such a loser. He's going to "pop a bottle" when the list comes out? Get a life. This season has been a bit of a preview of what his post-playing career will be like, and it looks pretty pathetic. The thing about Rodgers that I've been saying for over 10 years, but people have only just caught on, is that he thinks he's smart, funny, and cool, and he's none of these things. Not unlike Kimmel actually. These two are made for each other.

Now that Rodgers is a MAGA hero, lots of Twitter is just making up that Jimmy is on the list simply to have Based Aaron's back.

So, based on that, I'd say the typical one-third of the country believes he was on the list (maybe not since most are not on twitter) and that ten years from now some people will still state it as fact. 

Yeah the disinformation is unreal...I'm seeing shit that says Obama is on the list too.

And the disinfo includes tRump as well. There were some photoshopped images of him dancing with some young girl that weren't real.
