What St. Louis announcement? Has there been hints?tkepearljamn said:Take it for what it is worth... I've been told by people in the know for the St. Louis Busch Stadium announcement that it is not PJ. Sooo, I'm either getting messed with or it's really not PJ. I'm back to thinking it's AC/DC or Billy Joel in St. Louis. Still weird Joe Buck is making the announcement.0 -

This is the said St. Louis announcement @tkrpearljamn was referring to.tkepearljamn said:The Cardinals are announcing a stadium show tomorrow where Joe Buck is making the announcement... Odds of St. Louis getting a stadium show? Seems real odd Buck ( whom I'v bumped into at PJ shows ) is making the announcement.can you feel this world with your heart and not your brain?0 -

I'm gonna be 60 this year and I'm a physical therapist, I can still do GA although standing still in a crowd makes my leg go numb. Moving around abd dancing in GA is fine... I don't hear the band whining about it being too hard physicallyMerkin Baller said:
Just saw this... & can relate, obviously.JimmyV said:I'm literally hunched over with a lower back/hip issue this morning, so full understanding of the age issue.
I'm legit surprised at how dismissive people are of age potentially being an issue at this point... I can't help but think some are in for some pretty rude awakenings down the road.0 -
I recall Kelly Curtis saying over ten years ago that Pearl Jam has never been nor will they ever be a band that goes out for a year doing 125 shows. I never understood that comment to this day.Would you want them to be a band that plays 100 shows every 4 or so years, or a smaller amount MOST every year?0

Thanks. Like I said... It's odd they are having Buck do it in a press conference. He's not even part of the organization. They called for the press conference right before I posted that. They are also treating all the sports/entertainment writers to lunch that attend. AC/DC / Billy Joel / BRUUUCCCE are the active guesses.MakeUSmile said:

Pearl Jam ain’t playing stadiums in the US anywhere other than Seattle, Chicago and Boston.People speculating on stadium shows in places like St Louis or Baltimore are wrong.0

That court room video seems to have nothing to do with this rumor thread.

Camden Yards is in the middle of about 10 million people, they most definitely would sell out that show no prob. Citi Field in New York, sells out no problem. Philly, again, sells out no problem.Ryan said:Pearl Jam ain’t playing stadiums in the US anywhere other than Seattle, Chicago and Boston.People speculating on stadium shows in places like St Louis or Baltimore are wrong.I wish they would, a lot of people on here head’s would explode. What, they are NOT this hardly popular at all band i keep saying and thinking they are? 🤯🤯🤯0 -

St. Louis has had 2 stadium shows a year for a decade at Busch. Paul McCartney / Metallica / Billy Joel / A bunch of country artists. The only one that cancelled was GNR last year. Most have sold out in minutes. That's why it was a educated guess ( paired with Buck making the announcement ). That being said... it looks like it's AC/DC announcing 10 baseball stadium shows tomorrow for their 50th anniversary.Haijay said:

who say they’ve never even heard of them is ridiculous. Sometimes I definitely wonder how big they are to the average person.

Sure, but that really doesn’t mean much. We have personalized plates and stickmen on one of our vehicles, and we get lots of attention when we are out with it. And LOTS of women in their 40’s and 50’s🤷♂️🤷♂️Kwieneke said:

I say Tool to people and they are like “idk what that is”, or the pumpkins, or weezer, or radiohead, the list goes on, so its all relative. The fact remains that their shows are packed out 99% of the time, so that means a lot. Regardless of their “lack of shows”, which seems to be a common copout on here. I remember when they announced the first Wrigley, people on here were saying it’ll never sell out, and when it did in record time, the excuses were flying about how it was only because there were no shows around that time. 2016, many shows were “around” Wrigley and Fenway and look what happened, instant sellouts. Comments over the years on here have been quite comical, like their only “fans” are the fanclub. I feel people honestly believe that🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️0 -
