Of course I move from Indy this year and Pearl Jam and QOTSA (my 1 and 2) both are coming to town.  Gonna drive to Atlanta.  Was stoked for Asheville but I fly back to South Carolina the night of that show.

New album is good.  Need to give it a few listens.  Thankfully I can trust QOTSA not to put a "Never Destination" type song on their records.  That song is straight from the county fair circuit and sours  Gigaton for me.

    Vinyl due for delivery Thursday...

    ...next Thursday.

    Thanks, Amoeba. :star:

Traditionally a first listen for me is a spin of the record. May have to break tradition and listen on Apple Music. Dolby Atmos, baby!

same...I might not "love" it but I think it is one of the better songs on the album

    Really liking Paper Machete
I went for a bike ride yesterday and that came on my QOTSA station.  It sounded good from what I did hear.

QOTSA store shipped my LP this morning. Isn't that the point of a pre-order? Oh well.

I've listened to it twice already this morning on Apple & really love it.

Great album....very happy with it. Odd that a nine minute song closes it out and the total playing time is 47 mins but I'm fine with that.

Thanks to Stone mentioning QOTSA in an interview and me seeing this thread right afterwards, I took a deep dive into the Queens some weeks ago.
Funny that they did not catch my attention before. I knew the „hits“ but wasn’t interested.
    That has absolutely changed.

And I must say, that it was the perfect time to discover them with the EU-tour announcement and new Album this week.

I am going to see them live twice in November!
    And ITNR sounds great!
Loving Carnavoyeur, Emotional Sickness, Negative Space, Paper Machete, Sicily, Straight Jacket Fitting so far.

So thanks to everyone in this thread for drawing my attention to this Band! 😊

That’s the only one I haven’t bought/listened to yet. Don’t have a record player and the CD doesn’t seem to be available atm. But I am planning on looking for it on eBay or buying it digital.
Thank you, will not miss it! 😊

I don't understand how you can have Like Clockwork that low.  To me it is a masterpiece and has the most variety.  They have a bunch of great albums I guess.

It's like ranking PJ albums...something has to be there. Lullabies is to QOTSA what Yield is to PJ in my opinion.

Yes, they are playing Southside Festival today and Hurricane Festival Sunday.

Both festivals are streaming several concerts (from other artists like Placebo or Muse, too).

You can have a look at the line-ups (and streams) on southside.de and hurricane.de
