A month or two ago, if I went on Stub Hub and entered Pearl Jam in the search key, it would take me to ACL.  Now it doesn't.

they will play shows. they have a business to run and people to pay. the only way to generate significant revenue these days is to play shows. it might not be many but I don't see zero being an option.

and wasn't it reported one of the guys wasn't available due to PJ obligations?

Krist Novaselic's blog. He mentioned that Matt Cameron came over to his house and he hooked him up with a bunch of produce and they wanted to work on some 3rd Secret stuff but he couldn't til after May because Pearl Jam had him in the Spring for touring.

Lucky for us, Matt got himself banned from Joe's so he has to get all his produce from Krist Novaselic.  Otherwise we would never know about these spring shows!

Tour will start in late April and will run for 4-5 weeks.  17 total shows.  Tour announcement will late February.   My two cents. Someone feel free to confirm or deny.
I've been feelin' like this is the path since last Sept. And maybe 16 or 17 for the year, not a leg. I agree on the timing, too (if all goes according to rumor).

  • Ah, the life of a PJ fan.  I'd rather they just tour the next couple years than try to make another album at this point.  Looks like that won't happen though and we'll get a few shows probably somewhere this year after another year off.

I agree with this, even though I think Gigaton was there best effort since Avocado.

Touring Gigaton some more would be great, and I'd rather pour my $$$ into tickets vs albums.

I didn't get to hear enough Gigaton in 2022. Hopefully we get more of it in 2023.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I don’t think I ever need another PJ album at this point.  Give me as many shows as possible for the next 10 years, though.

Yeah, if that was PJ I could easily hit 4 shows at minimum and probably more (depending on ticket prices of course).  Insanely jealous of the hardcore DMB fans

Agreed, shows are where the memories are.  I know people around here like Gigaton but it does nothing for me unless it means more touring.

50+ shows shouldn't be mind altering but these days in this forum, it is.

As big a deal as the fifty shows are, other huge comparables:

Almost all shows are in their home country, the good ole USA

For some strange reason, DMB with all those shows, decided to skip many major markets such as Quebec, Ottawa, Fresno and Louisville
