Baseball stadiums seem to have the worst set up imaginable for shows. Not only are baseball stadiums the absolute worst- putting a band into an expansive outfield a mile from the seats for most- PJ loves to play the oldest stadiums, full of beams and poles that obstruct views and ruin sound. All because the man in charge has a romantic feel for the old stadiums.
To do a real stadium tour takes double the equipment and double the crew to account for a four day set up. To do a fair stadium tour, bands usually do an impressive light show and huge screens, which is fair to the majority of fans sitting a mile away, giving them something to look at. I never understood the allure of stadiums for bands that can pack 20k into an arena. Rammstein drew about 40k to their east coast stadium shows, but they did that because their stadium show was designed for the international dates, and it looked impressive.0 -

I would of put money down on that happening for sure next year.0 -
So no Lolla. I doubt they make the trip down there this spring without doing those so maybe SA is out for early 2023. They said in the newsletter they are looking to tour soon or something along those lines so maybe Australia is still an option or maybe we finally get a proper east coast tour.0
-
I thought they would play in South America too. Wondering whether as the band gets older they will mainly focus on their most popular markets of the US, Canada, U.K., Netherlands, Germany etc. We’ve already seen them sort of give up with places like Australia/NZ as they are less commercially attractive and not worth the hassle. Guaranteed to sell out shows in these core countries even if they bump up the prices significantly.0

Not that it benefits me but I’ve been predicting Aus/NZ. I know it’s getting close to make an announcement but if they’re planning February that’s still 4 months away. That’s more than enough time.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.

Have you been following this band? They just played a bunch of live dates. What does that mean? At least a year off.0
-
Love to be wrong, but nothing is happening in the first half of 2023. Unless there is a festival. Maybe more Earthling dates.0

They have said a lot of things over the years, not that rare. None of them come true. Hope I am wrong.0 -

Exactly. Ohana is likely again and that means the fall. Completely different if they manage to release an album, but if no record, a few dates in fall around a festival or a ball park. Again, hope I am wrong and they play Hartford in March.0 -
Again, they are 100% playing Boston, Chicago, Seattle at the very least next year. There is just no way they skip arguably their 3 biggest cities.0
-
could surprise and release new album in the spring, some summer shows including a couple ball parks and follow up with an mid/east coast fall tour0
