You claimed in your synopsis of the linked article that India’s largest state was “Covid free,” and casually linked that to the use of ivermectin. Then blamed Big Pharma for a conspiracy of your prescription for ivermectin being canceled, never mind that someone pointed out the difference between anti-parasitic versus anti-viral. Nothing could be further from the truth but you convinced me to start taking ivermectin. Thanks for the advice. Did you go to med school? If not, you should.TJ25487 said:

Well than I guess if Politifact says it's not true than it must not be. Throw in a CNN, MSNBC, NPR, ABC, CBS, NYT or WAPO and we'll consider this case closed. Or better yet if Biden's new "Ministry of Truth" ever gets off the ground then that should supercede everything. Haha!
I did read the Politifact article which basically said yes the cases went down but there is no proof that Ivermectin caused it. They said that a good portion of those people were vaccinated and some were boosted. Well everybody knows that the vaccines and boosters don't prevent the transmission of Covid so I think I'll take my chances with Ivermectin.
So are you saying that Big Pharma killed my prescription because it was prescribed wrong by a doctor??? Because it is anti-parasitic instead of anti-viral???That's a laugh. BTW - I've never taking any of the ivermectin as I would never take it for prevention. Only treatment.

Go back and read your post. What brand was the ivermectin that you received? You never said the doctor made a mistake in the prescription. So, did you take a drug mistakenly prescribed to you? If not, why did you go back for more? Or did you run into your Pharmicist somewhere and you just talked about “higher ups” not allowing ivermectin to be prescribed as a Covid treatment?TJ25487 said:

I went back for more just to stock up. That's when the pharmacist said they are no longer allowed to fill Ivermectin prescriptions if Covid is listed as the reason for the prescription. What don't you understand about that?Halifax2TheMax said:

It isn't approved for COVID treatment, first off. But that doesn't mean it's illegal for a doctor to prescribe it. So two questions:TJ25487 said:

 1. Why do you think that the FDA put a stop to your prescription rather than your pharmacy or insurance company making a decision?
 2. Why do you think you can "stock up" on prescription medicines? I can't just go stock up on Brelinta or Crestor. It has to be prescribed in a dose by the physician and then approved by the insurance company.0

To be fait to the OP I think there was one credible study linking the anti parasite effect to better outcomes for those specifically who, wait for it....had parasites as well as covid in developing countries..I remember hearing about it because it was being overblown as Ivermectin cures covid when in fact it just eased up the immune system by getting rid of the parasites in patients that had covid and parasites leading to better outcomes for some....The Truth Is Out There....waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy out thereHalifax2TheMax said:

Guess you’ll be going to TN for more, eh?
Case and point: Last year I got a legal prescription for Ivermectin and the local Pharmacy gladly filled it once but a week later told me that I could not have it refilled and they don't know why. All they said is that somebody above them told them not to fill Ivermectin if the prescription said it was prescribed for Covid.
Do the math. Why would a prescription for ivermectin be prescribed for Covid if the patient, the one quoted above, was just “stocking up” in the event, I assume, they get Covid? Do doctors or pharmacies generally prescribe medications for illnesses you’re yet to get? Maybe in Tejas? They later admitted they wouldn’t take it as a preventative treatment. But hey, folks in TN are free and I’m glad you follow conspiralogic so well. India is considered a developing country, with corruption. Depending on your source, it's second or third world.tempo_n_groove said:
India is one of the leading pharmaceutical makers in the world. They are hardly a third world nation at that.mrussel1 said:
We're not a third world nation. We actually have a formal process to test and review drugs to ensure that they work for the illnesses in which they may treat. You want third world doctors, have at it.TJ25487 said:In case the link doesn't work. Here is the jist of the story:
While the mainstream media condemns the use of ivermectin, the most populated state in India just declared they are officially COVID free after promoting widespread use of the safe, proven medicine. One America’s Pearson Sharp has more.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Weren't all alternatives considered competition for Pfizer's Paxlovid? Uncle Tony swore by the new pill and left it at the usual "kept him out of the hospital" because it didn't work. 2 boosters didn't help either.

"Swore by the new pill". What does that mean? If that means articulated that it was deemed safe and effective in a statistically significant, controlled test and therefore approved for emergency authorization use, then I guess. If it means promising it is the best thing ever, even better than a new pillow from Mike Liddell or tastier than Trump Vodka, then I doubt he swore to it in that way.AW124797 said:Weren't all alternatives considered competition for Pfizer's Paxlovid?
