6 months is peanuts in comparison to the last two years. I want some Leash and a whole lot of Gigaton.
    A gigaton of Gigaton!

I am a STL resident so I don't stay in hotels around the arena ever.  They will probably work if you just want a place to crash but the hotels around the ballpark and closer to the river are much nicer, granted more expensive too and you could walk it if you wanted.

Thanks…..probably staying downtown and was wondering about the walk.  Says 1 mile, which isn’t that far.

The streets are just a grid so unless you are going to hit up some bars or places to eat your walk will be on two streets, unless you cut across a park or something.

I'm staying at the Hampton downtown.
Looks to be slightly less than a mile walk, so that easily doable!

    I'm excited.

Booked the OYO hotel by the venue. Is it decent? haven't seen anybody mention it.
I stayed there in for PJ's show in 2014 when it was a Sheraton hotel. It seemed unkempt at the time... Not the worst, but was mildewy, scuffed, with worn carpets. Definitely needed freshening up. I don't plan on staying there again, even though it sits next to the venue.

The fact that it's changed ownership twice since 2014 doesn't enhance my faith in the property. The TripAdvisor recent reviews didn't help either. I'm not a fancy Dan, but it struck me as icky.

I stayed there when it was a Sheraton, way back in 2006. The location is phenomenal for getting to the arena, and at the time it was a great hotel. Looking at the pictures and reading the reviews, it has gone downhill - I'd thought it was the new ownership, but it sounds like it's been on that track for a while.
Thanks to both of you for the info. I was afraid it might not be very good when no one was talking about it even though its the closest.

Yup, I've seen it as a tag a few times, but never seen the whole thing.

I'm staying there too. Union Station and the one at the Arch are both great. Although this one is a bit closer walk to the venue.
Don't forget the free dinner and cocktails before the show (unless you're lining up for GA or posters). ;)
  • Scored 2 Reserved Seats today, find out March 28th on which seats. 311,XXX

Staying at the Casino Queen, so that I can park for free, and take the Metro Train to and from the show, and then gamble a bit afterwards.

    See everyone in September.
