    Re: Digital downloads with records....

I remember when some bands would include CDs with their records.

But I think we can thank Apple Music and other monthly services for not get these any more. So many people who simply download albums with their monthly subscriptions.

Like any business, they need to make up that revenue somewhere.

I forgot what label, maybe Numero, said they quit doing DL cards because like less then 20% were actually redeemed.

Do we know if this will be available to retail stores?  I’d love to wait and buy from my local record store rather than tie up more money with 10c. And not pay ridiculous shipping rates.

Can we also talk about why Ed is holding a bass in the cover art?

Apparently this is a tenor guitar strung like a uke. I read somewhere.

Apparently this is a tenor guitar strung like a uke. I read somewhere.

Tenor guitars are typically tuned in fifths (usually CGDA, similar to the tenor banjo, mandola, or the viola)

The open strings on a ukulele are most commonly tuned to the notes G, C, E, and A. This is known as standard tuning.
The high G is reentrant.  Reentrant tuning is a tuning technique wherein strings are not ordered from the lowest pitch to the highest pitch.
To create a more rounded even sound, some people prefer to string their ukulele with a low G string rather than a high G.
Typically, the baritone ukulele is tuned DGBE, exactly like the top four strings of a guitar and a fourth down from the more common GCEA tuning. Unlike the typical GCEA tuning, the baritone is tuned low to high—in other words, the baritone ukulele is not re-entrant.

Not sure how Eddie tunes his tenor guitar, probably any damn way he wants

I’m starting to think they limited Vault 1 so that everyone would panic and rush to buy Earthling before they realized it’s available everywhere else with free shipping.

Agree.  It's like there's some sort of Pearl Jam tax put on all their releases.

The songs we've heard have a real Tom Petty vibe, and Tom used to switch between bass & regular guitar all the time. I'm down.

You could ask Danny Clinch on social media. He posted a couple days ago that it's from an actual photo he took.

He plays a four string guitar here, does he not:
