I’m not certain but there’s a bunch of trucks near the Count Basie theatre in Red Bank right now and no show. Have a feeling the boys are practicing there. Which if I’m right will literally kill me since I can walk to it.

If you have a chance to catch sound check it's absolutely worth it!!!  Caught the soundchecks for all the Fenway shows and PJ20.  It's like your own private concert...You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Go take a look! You won’t regret it!
I entered the back of the venue when Eddie was soundchecking in Harlem in 2008. Happy they didn’t rip my tix up lol

Ok dumb question.  It says to register your wristbands with number on inside of hand but where is that number?  I don’t see it on mine unless it’s near the part to tighten it.

do we have to even register?
  • Jearlpam0925Jearlpam0925 Deep South Philly Posts: 16,757
I registered it for the hell of it, also added a cc. It's on the back of the small rectangleish plastic piece that says "2 Days Pass" or something like that.

Yeah, Im not sure I understand how it makes for easier entrance. Seems like they are kinda elbowing us to sign up for the merchants...

I dont know if SHN will have it but last festival I went to that used these cashless bands had special lines for food and drinks. It was faster in and out using the bracelet to tap and pay.  For what that is worth to you

That was my sense too. I’ll be down there all day tomorrow so it’s not like getting in quickly will be critical.

It would be cool if they did a sound check and let local fan club members listen or enter with vax card. Limit it to a few hundred with masks.
And @Daron Oshay I would think you’re right. When Let’s play two viewed there was a Qand A with Danny Clinch at count Basie.

In a world where telling people to get a life saving vaccine is “political” I’m sure Ed will offend a few.

You must not follow the band too much :);)

Agree with both of you - and very much will be CHEERING for the "political" rants, and people who have a problem with them seriously should look for another band. Sorry not sorry.

You want good music, right? I was at Nassau in 2003. Folks never mention that after the whole Bush thing the band went hard into two of the most pointed rock songs ever written and literally burned the skin off my face with them.

I want people to have opinions. I love Pearl Jam because they have one that I just so happen to agree with and appreciate. But if you want good music... what better music is there on earth than music backed by passion and fearlessness. That was probably the first time this band ever got booed in such a large way and they turned that into two perfect takes.

I'm bummed I can't be at the show this weekend because I want to hear what Ed and the band have to say. Or maybe they'll just say it with songs. Or maybe the two will combine and be something truly special like that performance of Know Your Rights and Rockin in the Free World.

Limited amount of time... Please just say hello, check in on everyone and play/enjoy. This is a welcome break from the shit show of the last year and a half. What is there left to say about politics and the vaccine... (and I am aligned with the band on both...)

    Sooooo good:

But yeah, I think otherwise they'll advocate for the nitwits who aren't vaxed to get vaxed. Beyond that I think they want to blaze threw some music considering they've been practicing for over a month for these shows and that it's been 3 years since they've been able to do this.
