Yes, you can. I say that as a non union employer, but we had this evaluated by an employment law firm months ago. There are some "reasonable accommodations" issues, but this was even before yesterday's news.

Yes, you can. I say that as a non union employer, but we had this evaluated by an employment law firm months ago. There are some "reasonable accommodations" issues, but this was even before yesterday's news.

People brought this up to the unions here in NY and the Unions said "get the vaccine".

if i had 103 employees and did not want to have to pay to test the unvaccinated ones, i would fire 4 of them to be under 100 employees. but that is just where my head is at with these fucking antivaxxers these days.

They will double down now and the numbers won't change much.

I think it will be interesting to see how many people quit vs how many people squawk and complain but end up getting the vaccine.

well if hospitals are going to have to purchase all these tests to test their own unvaxxed, that means they will not buy things from me, so either way my business is hosed.

trump said the vaccines were good, but he never told his supporters specifically to get the shots. his supporters feel that they shots were held back to hurt trump politically, so they will not take it due to spite. morons.

That may have been a bit of a game changer. Soon after, he said he won’t be getting the booster. If MAGA takes the legislative and executive branches, they’ll move us backwards as much as they can.

Only 20 out of 10K is way better than I thought it would be! I am interested to see how it plays out too.

#iI WillNOTComply was trending on twitter last night. basically a bunch of antivaxxers saying they will not get the vaccine even if mandated. the other part of it is vaccinated people dunking on them.

the interesting thing to me is the i will not comply people are the exact same people who are saying women must comply with the new texas abortion law, and that unarmed black men should have complied with police officers. the irony is unbearable at this point.

I run a private practice and I guess I still am wondering about clarification for private medical facilities

We have under 10 employees, and while we are a “medical” office, we are not employed by the hospital, so it is a private entity

Wish they would provide more guidance on private medical offices and entities, as I would like to ask about vaxx status and enforce it in the office, but also don’t have the time or resources to fight a discrimination or wrongful termination battle, or pay unemployment

I believe the mandate also applies to businesses that receive Medicare/Medicaid funds from the Feds for services.

While I understand the excitement of the new rules and regulations regarding covid vaccinations, I can’t help but feel this is just what the Republicans need for a big win in the mid terms and 2024. I really think it is a mistake to generalize that all of the anti vaccine people are trump supporters. A lot of people will flock to the polls to vote for the party that isn’t forcing them to get a shot with zero thought to the rest of their personal politics. As much as I would like everyone to be vaccinated and for us to get past covid, I just don’t see that the White Houses new policy doing much other than inflaming and dividing an already divided country.

Further why aren’t we testing people for natural antibodies etc? I think a lot of people would like for that to be part of the guiding plan going forward.

Yeah, but on the other hand, vaccine mandates are nothing new in America and lives are literally at stake.

At some point or another we need to stop catering to and being afraid of the minority of Americans who insist on acting like petulant toddlers.
