Ohana Encore Weekend

My commitment I had for that weekend just fell through so I am now looking to possibly go bit by myself, my wife can’t make it. I would be flying in and trying to find a hotel somewhere close to the shuttle hub. . The website says more information is coming on the hub. Where is the hub located that will take you to the festival?

Outlets in San Clemente was the previous fests locations. This year we are still waiting for the info though that has to be a safe bet imo.

Get a hotel asap but people are cancelling all of the time. Maybe a fan here can transfer names instead of cancelling since when they cancel the hotel jacks up the price since it is sold out.

Do the shuttles run all day or just at the beginning and end of the show? If I go I don’t plan on being there until mid afternoon, but so far finding a hotel somewhere and driving to the shuttle site seems to be the most feasible thing for me to do.

Past fests ran every 30 mins I think starting at 11am.

I thought faq said doors at 1:30. Yup, maybe later shuttle for encore then...

Is there parking available at the outlet mall for the shuttle? It looks like my best bet is to find a place in Oceanside and then drive to San Clemente to catch the shuttle to the festival.

We grabbed a room at Laguna Hills Lodge a few months ago...rates are cheap and only 15 min drive to the festival. Not sure if they have any availability, but worth a shot. Definitely not the fanciest hotel, but we just need a place to crash.

In the past there has been but it’s not clear if this will be the shuttle hub this year. Last time it was really parked up and maybe the mall owners felt it was too many cars preventing shoppers. I would think that any shuttle hub would have to have parking though.

Just booked Friday and Saturday night at Laguna Cliffs Marriott for the Encore weekend! I had day passes for just Saturday, but I have extra PTO from work so I bought Friday passes too! Very excited!

I looked at that hotel, and saw $1,085 a night 😳 I quickly eliminated that as a potential place to stay.

I am about to cancel a room at the Best Western Plus Marina Shores so a room will come available at hopefully a decent price. I called the hotel to see if I could transfer to someone else but they said no.

FYI - I can’t say for sure that this will happen again, but last time someone posted here that a room was coming available, I called the hotel and they confirmed it was available but the price was $450 or so. They’re jacking up prices based on demand so if it was originally a reasonably priced room I wouldn’t expect it to remain that way. I even asked the woman why it was more than double the standard rate and she said “there’s a big festival in town that weekend.”

I’m sure they jack up the prices immediately. I cancelled the room and it was gone instantly.

We found the hotels cheaper closer to San Diego. We are staying in Carlsbad and rented a car to travel to San Clemente to catch the shuttle.

Not sure if the hotel prices there have skyrocketed or not, but it’s only a half hour from the shuttle I believe.

Even if a room becomes available, it will still be crazy expensive based on bbigs conversation with the hotel. At this point, my thoughts are to book a reasonably priced room in Oceanside, drive to San Clemente and take the shuttle. Not perfect, but definitley cheaper. It is only a 20 minute drive, which is about half of what I drive every morning on my commute.
