I just picked up _____ on CD!

Odd that I should start this thread seeing as I'm a HUGE vinyl LP fan.  But since there are some things that are not out on vinyl or are too outrageously scarce and expensive on vinyl, it seemed appropriate to give a nod to some of the music on CD we appreciate or even cherish.

My first entry here is something I picked up- sealed, no less!- at our local Goodwill store and I'm head over heals for this album.  It's one of those, "I can't believe I haven't heard or had this record before" kind of things.  Absolutely marvelous!  Very scare and out of my budget on vinyl, but the CD sounds great and the music is majestic!

I think Gigaton was the last CD I bought.  I still buy the odd PJ thing on CD, but I buy Vinyl and/or Digital now.    I do keep some kind of device in the living room that can play cd's (Xbox One X) if I feel the need, but they get dusty :(

Oh my. Was driving home after fishing on a rainy night avoiding frogs in the street. Listening to 'frogs with dirty little lips' . Crrrrazzzy stuff. Salvation army scores. New to my eardrums.

Here’s some recent acquisitions. The PJ stuff came in trades with a fellow board member except for the European Gorge promo set in the plastic wallet which was an eBay find. Australian and South African copies of Ten,  a Mexican Vs., and a bunch of old silver pressed boots. And then some Bowie and Rush.

I just realized after my new car purchase I don't have a cd player.

It seems really strange to me that a lot of new cars don't come with a CD player, and even more strange that many do not come with a spare tire.  My 2008 Toyota has one of those stupid, nearly worthless "donut" spare tires.  Cutting corners at every turn!

It’s the only CD player I have.

I don’t think it comes with one either, you have to get the DVD player, which then plays cd’s.  Seems stupid because I don’t have any DVD’s either and it won’t play blue ray

    it’s maddening
