Would have been nice to see Gang of Youths, but Cold War Kids is a good trade-off.
Not too excited about Spoon.....they have always been a poorman's Wilco IMHO.
Pretenders would have been nice to see, though Chrissie focused more on the more recent material last time I saw her. I was hoping to see Eddie play an old song with her.0 -
Pretenders would have been fine, but I love Brandi Carlile, so I'm thrilled with that trade.JOEJOEJOE said:Would have been nice to see Gang of Youths, but Cold War Kids is a good trade-off.

Have any of your been to this fest? What is it like on the beach? Are people putting down towels and "claiming" space all over the beach? Just curious.0

Love the lineup changes. It's going to be an amazing weekend for anyone who can get their tickets... I have two Friday, but really hope to go both Friday and Sunday. If anyone has an extra Sunday and might be willing to sell or trade for a Friday, please let me know!0

You can’t claim that way anywhere near the main stage-you have to stay standing, even it means 11AM-9PM. The “claim with a towel” starts a pretty good distance from the stage and isn’t that great of a strategy if you’re trying to watch second stage acts as wellGet_Right said:Have any of your been to this fest? I've been every year of the festival. It's not actually on the sand. It's basically right next to the beach on a grassy park area and the fenced boundary of the festival is right up to the sand of the beach. People put down towels earlier in the day, but closer to the main stage is typically standing only and by the time it gets closer to the headliners, everyone's standing shoulder-to-shoulder. There is a grandstand at the rear of the festival area for people that wish to sit.Get_Right said:Have any of your been to this fest? What is it like on the beach? i've gone every year since the first Ohana and outside of guarding the rail its fairly easy to walk up and get a pretty close spot during the intermission between the act before Ed and Ed - which is a lot better than sitting all day, you actually get to enjoy the entire festival. eat, drink, go to the bathroom, listen to other acts. besides being pricey, Ohana is hard to beat.Get_Right said:Have any of your been to this fest? Wow---I don't think Wilco and Spoon are even close to sounding the same. I love them both, but just my opinion. To each, their own.JOEJOEJOE said:Would have been nice to see Gang of Youths, but Cold War Kids is a good trade-off.

Charity Platinum is just a Platinum pricing level that goes to charity. Usually reserved for shows looking to raise a little cash with the remaining tickets - RATM did this last year to deter people buying to flip on StubHub and raise $ in the process. On the plus side, you should be able to write off a portion of the ticket price come tax time next year I believe.405OK said:Charity Platinum ga through Ticketmaster is now available again and seems to be the only option available. Do Eddie's single day tickets (Sat this year) typically sell out? Are people who buy single day tickets and end up having extras able to sell them? I know that for some shows there are restrictions that make selling/transferring very difficult.0

Looks like Ed O'Brien (Radiohead) is also not on the lineup anymore.0

Only the insane diehards in a group will camp out in front of the stage all day, under the hot sun. But when Eddie came on stage, people pushed from the back and lots of salty people peeved that 'newcomers' stood right next to them, or in front of them when Eddie came out. There's no such thing as ownership of GA space on a beach. You literally go with the flow of the throngs of people. With that said, I like my freedom and I'll roam the entire venue with peace of mind, and be near the stands instead. Remember, even though it's outside, and I'm fully vaxxed, there will be people there, even by late Sept who aren't vaxxed, so I'm not too interested in exchanging DNA samples and sharing the same breathing space in front of the main stage. But I'm going to have a blast and I hope everyone else does too.PhilLeotardo said:

ps The VIP tickets were just too rich for my blood, but I'm content with GA Sat/Sun tickets.~*~Me and Hippiemom dranketh the red wine in Cleveland 2003~*~

Eddie only plays Saturday and his night usually sells out quickly, most def by mid-August. The Pearl Jam factor of Sunday is probably making people on tight budgets decide between just Eddie on Saturday, or the whole gang on Sunday. So far, Sunday is winning.waltus said:Do Eddie's single day tickets (Sat this year) typically sell out? Are people who buy single day tickets and end up having extras able to sell them? Thanks and in the past have singles been available closer to the date when people get their tickets in the mail? I'm wondering if we'll start to see tickets for Saturday or Sunday pop up on Stubhub and/or Craigslist or if restrictions make that impossible.whitepants said:
