Even better qualification, he’s rich and successful and we all know they get that way by being smart!

he has a ton of knowledge about a wide range of topics, and especially topics that are very anecdotal and of interest to him. unfortunately he applies very unsound logic to some of them.

I wish he'd stay away from the meathead banter like this about very important topics. Sometimes I think he forgets the influence he has and that a lot of people honestly think he's some sort of genius.

I know he’s on testosterone replacement therapy (like many men of that age?), but I believe I’ve read that the amount is nothing at all like others who use them unnecessarily.

Keep on digging, dignin. I know you hate his guts =)

Absolutely, as I think he should be.

It seems like many just don’t like him for their own reasons, and stuff like this shouldn’t negate everything else he’s said. I typically find him to be honest, knowledgeable, and open/willing to listen in subjects where he is not.

(Then again, I don’t listen every day and certainly don’t take his word as gospel.)

His advice to young adults about the vaccine suggests otherwise.

I know you're a fan, and I respect your opinion. With that being said I don't see any comments here that are over the top or excessive... I think most of what's been said here is pretty fair and well deserved.

I don't like anyone who regularly propagates misinformation.

    Nothing personal against meathead.

I think it's more problematic that his dangerous opinions get a pass because people like him.

the thing is, it's the usual suspects that come here only when he says something stupid or irresponsible. they are dead silent when he has a reputable person on speaking about subjects that are topical and that he obviously understands. they just pounce on the low hanging fruit.

everyone of his similar stature has an opinion on things; some care about the potential backlash of saying it publicly. he doesn't. he has said numerous times to people who are just becoming famous/known: "don't read the comments".

I honestly wish he did care; there a lot of people that follow him that probably do take his word on things they shouldn't, because he is often bang on some topics.

Well, you see the ‘roid and meathead remarks, so...

I don’t think he should be given a pass due to his guests (yes, Faxxxxii!), and as I said, it was an irresponsible, even uninformed, thing for him to say.

I consider one version of a fool to be someone who relies on a sole person/organization as their news source. Thank goodness I don’t.

Joe, like the rest of us peons, is quite fallible ;)

like i've said before, he does when he actually is speaking with them. he has this strange dichotomy where, in person with an expert in any given field, he will listen and "interesting....interesting" and bounce ideas back and forth. but when it's just him and another lay person, he speaks as if he knows what he's talking about.

and then he hides behind "i'm just a meathead in my basement getting high and chatting with my friends". that's fine if you have 100 followers, but when millions listen to you and believe you know what you're talking about? not so fine.

the unfortunate part is, most, if not all of us here, can tell the difference, while there are just too many people that don't/can't/won't.

I respect your opinions Hedo & Hugh.

I wish Rogan deferred to experts as much as his defenders claim he does.
like i've said before, he does when he actually is speaking with them. he has this strange dichotomy where, in person with an expert in any given field, he will listen and "interesting....interesting" and bounce ideas back and forth. but when it's just him and another lay person, he speaks as if he knows what he's talking about.

and then he hides behind "i'm just a meathead in my basement getting high and chatting with my friends". that's fine if you have 100 followers, but when millions listen to you and believe you know what you're talking about? not so fine.

the unfortunate part is, most, if not all of us here, can tell the difference, while there are just too many people that don't/can't/won't.
    That's generous.

I'll wait for a certain poster to have another Jack Nicholson A Few Good Men moment and demand names.

People who take information from sources they shouldn't and run with it?
    Damn, all over.
Probably 20% of the sources cited in the Rona thread, alone.
edit -- OK, 20% still leaves 80% as most.  I am probably being too generous, as well.***
